Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Polk County

Glad that we chose this place for an our a week long stay in Des Moines. New home , and we found everything we needed in home . Kitchen had lot utensils. Beds were comfortable. Host is very responsive, they live few blocks away . Though we did not have to contact them for anything during stay , it was good to know they are nearby and available to assist if needed . Very spacious yard and compound as well in a calm neighborhood.

I had a wonderful stay. The house is so charming and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. While the house is small, it doesn’t feel cramped in the least. You have everything you need in a very workable space. If I need a place in DM again, this will be my first choice.

The home is very clean and as described. Elaina is quick to respond with any questions and very helpful. There was an issue with our initial home we rented that was unexpected and beyond her control and she went out of her way to help us get into this home. We are very grateful for all she does!

We loved staying in this lovely home! We had fun playing pool and ping-pong together as a family! It’s not far from a Costco where we stocked up on food for the stay! The beds were super comfortable, too! We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Very quaint. Very clean. They have TVs in both bedrooms which we love and all the apps loaded so very easy to use

My lady friends and I loved staying at this duplex.....2 bedrooms with 2 baths and a kitchen fully stocked. We enjoyed visiting in the living room and had a great place to park our car. Thank you for responding so quickly so we could arrive and get right in the home.

We loved staying at the Gateway House! Angela was very kind and responsive. The location was incredible- close to lots of things in Des Moines, but didn’t feel busy or unsafe. This was also the most baby-friendly place I’ve stayed! It was so wonderful to be able to leave toys, cribs, and high chairs at home. It was a relief to know it had everything we needed for our little one, even outdoor toys! We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

The perfect space for our family gathering. The downstairs entertainment kept everyone busy for hours. Very spacious and plenty of bedrooms and beds for everyone. Will most definitely stay again.

We were a group of 10 friends who all graduated high school together and wanted to reconnect. Des Moines was roughly the halfway point for most of us, so we chose this location. The house is in a nice neighborhood, conveniently close to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Check-in and check-out were both very easy using the keypad system. However, we weren’t able to get the gaming system to work. We also noticed there were no towels in the half bath on the main floor or in the kitchen, and we ended up running out of toilet paper during our stay. The layout of the home includes one bedroom in the basement with a shower and sink (but no toilet), a half bath on the main floor, and a full bathroom upstairs near the majority of the bedrooms. We initially thought the game room was in the basement, but it’s actually located in the garage. That ended up being a fun space, especially with the garage doors open and the Sonos Bluetooth speaker available. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

The place was conveniently located, very good size, and the price seemed reasonable. It did indicate that the evenings were loud with a bar/restaurant across the street, but we knew that going into it. We were very pleased with our stay. Thank you so very much.

Beautiful and comfortable home! This house is a delight with lots of charming details and amenities. The house offers plenty of square footage with multi-use rooms and spaces throughout. The pool was beautiful, clean, and so much fun. We were in town to visit our son for his college graduation from Drake University. This home made the weekend even better for our family to celebrate the occasion. The location is close to everything and the neighborhood is historic and beautiful. We would highly recommend this home to anyone staying in the Des Moines area.

They were very patient and kind. The place was unbelievably clean and homey. They were also very understanding I needed to stay an extra day. Very responsive as well with anything you needed. Great location and great hospitality!

Garrett and Tiffani made their place feel like home. Perfect layout for our large family. Lots of fun things for our kids of every age to do. Plenty of space as well. The location was perfect. Quiet neighborhood but walking distance to parks and food. The hosts quickly responded to any inquiries and were great at overall information regarding the rental. We would definitely stay here again. My littles loved the red house. 100% recommend the house and hosts.

I had to book this place for my parents for a funeral and Josh was very understanding. My parents enjoyed their stay and would stay there again!

The place was beautiful and cozy! Alyson thought of everything! If you may have forgotten something all the way down to chargers and stuff for the kids and family to do she had you covered already stocked in the home. We traveled with our dogs and there were even things there for them incase we forgot anything including treats. Highly recommend the place and would stay there again longer if ever back in the area!

Very friendly host. The apartment has a lot of space, is very clean and easy to live in. When we come back we would love to rent this apartment again. Around the corner several good restaurants and a hyvee to get groceries.

The place was perfect. Close to downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood. Parking front or back. Great AC, clean and well stocked. Really appreciated the extras throughout the house. The kitchen had everything we could think of. Eon was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you

Had a great stay at Brandon’s! Clear instructions, cozy and clean unit. Just as described. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice and quiet, not a lot of street noise, if any. Loved the bidet, thought it was a nice touch, as well as other amenities provided in the bathroom (e.g. make remover wipes for the ladies). Same building as Hello, Marjorie which is a great little cocktail bar. Would stay here again.

We loved this cute little home! It’s all updated! The bathrooms have heated toilets and one has a bidet built in. The showers are roomy and nice! The living room furniture is comfy and welcoming! TV worked great! Kitchen is nice also. Has everything you need! The location is central to anywhere you want to go. And when you stay here, you must walk to the Waveland Cafe for breakfast! Everything was delicious! Oh and the hosts are super responsive and helpful!
