Holiday rentals with a patio in Polk County

This is our second stay at David's studio apartment, and it never disappoints. It is the perfect location for anyone competing at the Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center (FENCE) which holds lots of horse shows (I'm hesitant to say this in case others book it before I can next time!). It is also easy to get in and out of for people with mobility issues (using a walker) - just one small step up from the driveway, otherwise smooth. I only wish I could have tried out some of David's local recommendations for places to see and restaurants - maybe we'll just have to come back for a non-horse-show visit sometime.

This was such a cute Airbnb. Tammy was a wonderful host, friendly, and very responsive. We enjoyed our time there and was able to take our their kayaks. This is a place I’d stay again when in the area!

We really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The home was clean, modern, and peaceful. We loved sitting on the back deck facing the woods. Very nice neighborhood and a great way to get a true Asheville experience. Highly recommend!

Perfect little spot in West Asheville, close to all the bars and restaurants. The covered patio hot tub is a real bonus feature. Greatly enjoyed our stay here at this property.

Overall a really beautiful and peaceful spot that checked all the boxes for what I needed for the week. Super comfy and cozy. Had a really lovely stay, and Paul was super responsive. Definitely will be looking to book here again when I return to the area in the future!

My wife and i felt so comfortable and at home. We love the quiet setting and the animals. Sunrises on the farm are breathtaking. I really enjoyed learning and helping on the farm with the cows and seeing how the cheese is made. If ever I’m back in the area, I will definitely stay there or at least stop in for an ice cream, some cheese and to say hello.

We enjoyed our stay. The unit sits on a beautiful open Greenway. Beautiful views from sitting on the patio. Very peaceful setting. The place was cozy and had all the creature comforts of home. We appreciated how clean the place was. We also like that it was in close proximity to shopping and dining. Also a quick 10 minute drive to the Biltmore. Thanks for hosting us.

Really enjoyed our stay at Reece's place. she was quick to respond with about questions we had. We were in town for a horse show and this was a perfect location. Gas station and feed store just around the corner. House was very clean and had a great back yard for sitting and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

If you're looking for really private, quality time with your spouse in a beautifully secluded area...this is the place. My husband and I were there for our anniversary. It was the 2 of us and our 2 big dogs. It was so nice to be able to have our girls with us. Katie was the most responsive and accommodating host we've ever had. She always responded, usually within minutes, no matter what time it was. She was so gracious when it came to any questions or needs we had. The view from the back deck was breathtaking. I also had so much fun playing with the young chickens in the coup. Katie was very honest in the descriptions of the type of vehicle you need to reach the house safely. My husband and I were driving a lifted pickup truck with 4 wheel drive so we had zero issues. My husband and I plan to make this our anniversary spot every year.

David’s home was wonderful! We loved the screened in porch and the yard was beautiful! Lots of paths to walk on. Very peaceful and easy to get to town. We will definitely be back!

We were looking for a place to stay for our wedding weekend and this was near our venue. It was the perfect place to get ready in, and was very relaxing for us!

This house is amazing. Very comfortable beds , all bedrooms had king beds and two extra full beds in the “basement “. Kitchen well equipped too. Two grills - gas and charcoal. And an outdoor area for fireplace !

This is a wonderful house and stay. It is so spacious and well-done, beautifully decorated and the amenities are very generous and thoughtful. The house was spotlessly clean. Thomas is an excellent host, so thoughtful and responsive. You can tell we loved being here. It's very unique and special, with great views and features. Highly recommended!

This home was such an incredible peaceful retreat. The approach was a little difficult with the very steep driveway and lack of cell service (make sure you have clear directions!) but after the second time driving to the house we felt like pros. The house was very comfortable and truly felt like a home away from home. We felt like we were really away from everything, yet the town is just a few minutes away. I would definitely stay here again!

Enchanting! Suzanne's place is thoughtfully curated, the design is gorgeous and the space nourishing. She was a lovely, friendly and communicative host. The land and the home are an oasis for the spirit. You will truly feel connected to nature from her horses, to her dog and cats, to the deer that visit, it was magical. The best part, it was pet friendly and my dog loved it here too, he felt right at home and we learned the town is dog friendly too. There is much to do nearby at a leisurely pace, we visited Looking Glass Creamery, Stone Soup (Suzanne's restaurant, yum!) and Shunkawauken Falls (a waterfall that can be conveniently seen driving by). The best part, coming home to enjoy a walk, offer a carrot to the horses, swim in the pool and just take in the fresh air. We hope to be back soon, a delightful time.

Nice place. Would stay again. Can’t wait for the area to recover. But while they are working hard there is still a lot to enjoy!

Cute, comfortable studio condo in the well treasured Lake Lure area. Clean and plenty of space. Thank you for being a good host!

Very cute condo. Resort access was nice to have as there is not much to do but n the area without driving 30-40mins. But with the resort access, you have several pools, a beach, and lots of other things that will keep you busy. The condo is a good size for two people. The added perk of being able to bring our dog was nice. The kitchen is limited- small air fryer and stove top with minimal container options for putting things in the microwave, but we were able to make it work since we were only there a few days. There is a Keurig with coffee pods, which was nice. Overall, the place is clean, dog friendly, with nice access to a resort.

Had a very nice and relaxing stay. Alicia was great and checked on us. Home was in very nice condition and had everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone!

Tanja’s garden cottage was nothing short of amazing! She reached out with check in instructions well before my time to check in and even reached out to make sure I got in ok. The cottage was about 10 minutes from town which was nice. Her instructions on how things worked were very helpful and she even left some snacks out for me to have. The bed was also very comfy!

What a lovely condo! Donna has thought of everything. From the beautiful linens and rugs, to the sweet porch and fresh flowers, she paid attention to detail. This is a great getaway spot for a girl’s long weekend, or a romantic stay for an anniversary! I’ll definitely return.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at April and Derek’s lake condo in Lake Lure! The condo was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The views of the lake were stunning, and we loved enjoying our morning coffee out on the balcony. April and Derek were excellent hosts—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. They provided great recommendations for local activities and dining, which made our trip even better. The location is perfect—peaceful and scenic, yet close to all the fun Lake Lure has to offer. We can’t wait to come back and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene lake escape!
