Here you can enjoy nature up close, either on late summer evenings in the midnight sun or experience fishing in the shore or on the mountain. The area around Grasbakken is a popular area for sea birds. In addition to seabirds, the area is known to be a hotspot for marine mammals such as seals and whales. Reindeer and moose also graze close to the buildings. The nature around Grasbakken is both raw and beautiful - an arctic landscape where the sea plays an important role in the ecosystem.
