The path to the three distilleries on this side of the Island starts in the village, taking you first to Laphroaig then Lagavulin , finishing at Ardbeg where delicious food is available. Mattie’s house is in the village of Port Ellen,very central 5 minutes to the ferry port and minutes to the sandy beach.There are shops and hotels and distilleries all within walking distance,if you are coming by car there is on street parking and if you are coming by public transport the bus stop is meters away,please be aware we are in a residential area.The house has one double bedroom,one twin,living room,kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower,there is oil central heating in the property.

The Wee House
The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Lower Garden Flat
This lower flat has a combined kitchen and lounge. The kitchen includes a microwave, toaster and kettle. There is access to a washing machine and tumble dryer. They are in the wooden shed nearest the flats. TV is provided. Extra blankets are provided for bedrooms. There is drawer and wardrobe space. The flat is heated by storage heaters. All bed linen and towels are provided. An outdoor seating area is provided and there is off road parking. Wifi is provided.

PLEASE NOTE: As we are located 3 miles from Port Ellen a car or some form of transport is recommended. Please ensure you book your car on the ferry in advance.
