We had an awesome stay — it is a beautiful home, very clean, with everything you need for the stay. It is a beautiful private location on a lake, very peaceful and relaxing. Danny and Lynn were super responsive to all my messages, and everything was as stated in the listing. Highly recommend!

The place was wonderful and well equipped. It was in beautiful condition and there so many convenience items available. It felt fresh and comfortable. We enjoyed walking to the beach, the hot tub and the fire pit area. A great spot to unwind.

We had a lovely stay at Melanie's cottage. The cottage was very spacious, clean and had absolutely everything that we needed. (bottle of wine was a nice touch) Melanie was very responsive to our questions and responded right away. The cottage is on a busy street but is relatively quiet when you are on the beautiful front deck. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the area.

Jennie's place was fantastic! it was well stocked, very clean, beautiful and really felt like a retreat. we don't often return to the same rental but would definitely come back again! recommend for a family get away or a group of friends.

Great spot to stay! Super close to both Summerville and Carters Beach. Very clean and comfortable place. We wish we could’ve made use of the fire pit/hot tub as it was lovely, it poured rain during our whole weekend stay. Would love to return to this same location for a future stay.

Staying at this place was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The home itself is stunning—right on the lake, surrounded by trees, with pristine grounds and incredible amenities. The hot tub, fire pit, and living spaces were all immaculately maintained and felt like new. Everything was so comfortable, and the little welcoming touches made it feel extra special. Ben was a fantastic host—professional, friendly, and incredibly responsive. He made everything seamless from start to finish and was always so easy with which to communicate. What really sets this property apart is its peaceful location, surrounded by natural beauty, and its exceptional, well-appointed lakehouse. It’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking to unwind and connect with nature in a beautifully maintained space. Truly a five-star experience—and then some. We might come back to Nova Scotia just to stay at this gorgeous property!

Our stay at Seafarers Hideaway was a truly memorable experience. The property has one of the most beautiful views we have ever encountered and it is extremely well appointed. They have thought of everything guests will need to have an enjoyable stay. The kitchen and pantry are very well stocked as well as the bathroom. We absolutely loved the fireplace and enjoyed most evenings by the fire. When weather permitted we enjoyed the outdoor fire area and used the bbq most nights. The muskoka chairs are perfectly situated on various parts of the property and we enjoyed looking at Peggy’s Cove with the binoculars provided. We would highly recommend this property as it is an hours drive to Halifax, Lunenberg and Peggy’s Cove, with much of the drive along the ocean. We would love to return someday and treasure our first experience in Nova Scotia at Seafarers Hideaway. Krista and Ken

Nancy and Darren’s place was a slice of paradise. Our 2 big dogs, my husband and myself loved our time at the Red Door Barn. We started our mornings at Louis Head beach, located a short 5 minutes car ride. We had the beach for ourselves and our dogs loved playing fetch on the beautiful stretch of sand. The Red Door Barn is impeccable and Nancy thought of every little detail. It’s beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. And just perfect. We loved the extra dog friendly touches such as the doggie treats, the water bowl, the blankets and the big basket near the door full of little surprises. The kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked Lobster from the Wharf several times during our 12 nights stay. I highly recommend staying at The Red Door Barn. We can’t wait to come back.

We truly could not write a more raving review of Claudia and Dragonfly Dreams – 10s across the board! We were looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and de-stress and we got that and so much more. Claudia's cabin was so peaceful we slept 14 hours our first night! The cabin is absolutely perfect. No other properties are within sight, making this feel like you are in your own nature's paradise. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, cookware, and even spices, and we enjoyed staying in and cooking all our meals. The bed was extremely comfy (obviously!). We enjoyed a wonderful canoe and swim as well. We had to save the best for last – Claudia! Having stayed at many Airbnbs around the world, Claudia is up there as the best host we've ever interacted with. She is so warm, kind and accommodating. She is extremely responsive to messages and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. We are so grateful for her and we will definitely be back one day! Don't hesitate to book!

Ian's place was exactly as described. Everything was wonderful. Was peaceful and relaxing and they communicated when we had one small.ossur and came out and fixed the problem with a hour. The house was in easy driving from a lot of tourist places which was great. Thanks so much for sharing your place with us.

The place was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. A lot of thought went into every detail of the space. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen for hosting. It was a lovely spot.

We were encountered by a family of deer crossing the road on our arrival so this place is magical ! If you want to stay in the woods but have everything you need, this is the place for you ! The home is big yet cozy, and the kitchen is great for cooking. A nespresso machine and foamer were perfect for the espresso lover. Patio really nice, lots of space for our little dog to run around and only a 9 min drive from Lunenburg which is a charming little UNESCO heritage site of a town.

My family and I had an incredibly relaxing stay here. The property is beautiful and the fact that the house is both dog and baby friendly was such a bonus! We are already looking forward to our next visit and will miss the beautiful sunsets over the lake. Highly recommend staying here!

We’ve had a wonderful few days, the house was great. Clean and well stocked - coffee, tea, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, all of kitchen items - foil, food bags etc Plus an abundance of toilet paper. We absolutely loved paddle-boarding and kayaking on the lake, the surrounding scenery is just beautiful and we were very lucky to have experienced some amazing sunsets. The beds & pillows are extremely comfy and the area is extremely quiet - perfect for some much needed rest. Christine has been the perfect host, very responsive on messages and offered some advice on places to go - we throughly enjoyed Risslers Beach - thank you for that! We would highly recommend this stay. Thank you once again Ben, Julie & Hattie

So relaxing and comfortable. We added an extra day because this was exactly what we were looking for...private, relaxing and beautiful. Hosts were responsive, accommodations had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Comfy bed, good clean water pressure, fresh air and peaceful surroundings. Couldn't have asked for more..

I had an amazing time at Joe and Jeff's place, as always. The view is beautiful, the place is cozy and super clean. They are incredibly responsive and helpful hosts. For many years now I have been going to the cottage for a quiet week away, and every time it is a wonderful experience. I can't rate the cottage highly enough, and Joe and Jeff are exceptional hosts.

What a beautiful property and house - situated right on the ocean above a tidal basin, with stunning views and sunsets, and a gorgeous deck with all amenitites, BBQ, and large comfortable outdoor couch. The garden below is also lovely, with bubbling creek running down to the sea and little stone bridge. Relaxation is a given in this place! The beds are super comfortable, with luxurious bedding and dreamy mattress (I think we will get ourselves an Endy!) Bathrooms on each level were squeaky clean with tons of drawer storage. It was a good situation for my 93-year old mom who has some mobility issues, as she could sleep in the main floor bedroom, with bathroom nearby too. Kitchen was small but functional and well-equipped. The cute town of Chester is only 10-15 mins drive away, with grocery stores, etc as well as some lovely little gift shops. We had a really nice time, thank you Greg!

It was a great stay! The owner was quick and responsive to messages which was very nice! Property is on a beautiful lake and the stay was very enjoyable! Everything you could want for a weekend away! Definitely will come back for longer!

Karen & Richard's place is one of the nicest Airbnb's I've ever stayed. It is beautiful and even nicer than the pictures. It has lovely ocean views and the inside is so bright, open, with exposed beams, yet cozy also and so thoughtfully decorated. We loved the art and the swing by the window. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is spacious, modern and very well stocked! We highly recommend a stay at Karen and Richards!! We hope to visit again!

We stayed here over New Year’s and it was the perfect getaway. Super comfortable, cozy woodstove, and amazing views. We’d definitely return!

We had a fantastic stay. Randy’s place had everything we needed and was exactly as described. The property was lovely and well kept, and there was a large, relatively private beach only a short walk from the house. Randy was a very responsive and attentive host, answered questions quickly and even left a little treat for our pup which she appreciated! We will definitely be back again!
