Marie is an excellent host, the pod is fantastic and has everything you need and more, really well thought out. It’s in a beautiful location, Marie even leaves dog bags if you bring a dog. If you go over to the Isle of Harris i highly recommend staying at Marie’s. Thank you for a wonderful stay 👍

We absolutely loved this very spacious double sized pod. It was quirky and beautiful. We enjoyed being on a very accessible part of the island not known by many tourists. The view from the terrace over the Croft is lovely and the visits from the hens and the 2 wonderful sheep was a treat. We were sad to leave after our 2 night stay which is always a good sign.

From the moment we arrived, this charming cottage exceeded every expectation. Beautifully maintained and full of character, it strikes the perfect balance between cozy comfort and high-end quality. Every detail — from the pristine linens and fully equipped kitchen to the thoughtful décor — reflects the care and pride that’s clearly gone into making this a true home-away-from-home. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was Donald, our host. From the outset, his communication was prompt, warm, and genuinely welcoming. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, offering local recommendations, checking in discreetly to make sure we were comfortable, and even leaving a few personal touches that made us feel like VIP guests. In short, this wasn’t just a place to stay — it was an experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with a host who genuinely cares about your visit, look no further. We’re already planning our return.

Fidan was an excellent host, providing not just a super-spacious 'large' pod, but a friendly and informative personal welcome with a generous welcome pack in the fridge. The pod could probably sleep 4+ but for 2 the space was generous, and we liked the configuration inside. The bathroom was spacious and the water great. Fidan and Steve made us feel very welcome and it was a pleasure to get to know them as we sat and chatted one evening. The location is not far from Stornoway, not far from the north-east beaches, or from walks we just didn't have time to do - on this occasion! We cannot recommend Fidan's pod highly enough. Thank you, Fidan, for giving us such and enjoyable stay.

Ground floor, 1 bed/1ba apartment with public street parking 5 min walk outside Stornoway. Pros Lovely view of the lighthouse & harbor from the living room. Easy, free on-street parking (it's not a busy main road), super easy in/out of town by car. Great to have a dryer in this climate. Big TV. Comfortable layout, well designed, with big windows in kitchen, living room and bedroom. Good running route around the harbor and castle. The apartment has nice touches: double curtains, good kitchen amenities, quality stoneware dishes, local books (mix of local fiction and non fiction), automatic nightlights, blackout curtains, many hooks for jackets, towels, etc., plenty of extra towels in various sizes, extra blankets, and a picnic bench w/pop-up table. It feels very well thought-out and very comfortable. Cons No sound proofing, can hear neighbors above walking, moving around. We're full time travelers by car in the EU/UK/Balkans, staying in more than 85 apartments over the past 4 years

Wow what a stunning place this is! The view is exactly like in the pictures, so peaceful and such a great place to watch the world go by. Angus and Ishbel were fantastic hosts and very welcoming. The place was very well equipt with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. It is very well situated for exploring the surrounding area - we enjoyed lots of beautiful hill walks and beaches. We even managed to spot a few seals while sitting out on the deck. What a brilliant week - we would definitely come back!

Magz is an amazing hostess and went out of her way to feed us a 6 star breakfast every morning! The variety of delicious homemade food on offer from breads and cakes to croissants and jams … and I love how she introduced us to the local fare like Scottish oatcakes and crowdie. She was also very informative about places to visit on the island. The only drawback I could find was that the sitting /lounge area was somewhat tight (for 2) and certainly would not be suitable for 4 people (even though the 2 double bedrooms can comfortably accommodate 4).

When I first entered the accommodation, I was immediately happy: super nicely furnished, everything super clean and great amenities - really well thought out plus fresh flowers. In addition, a very cozy bed and an equally cozy sofa. Terrace with a view of the sea. I am very happy that I had Rietta as a host. Although we did not see each other, she took good care of us in writing and responded quickly to questions. Thank you so much for the wonderful time!
