We loved our stay! The location was so peaceful and had everything we could have wanted for a quiet weekend away. Alex called as soon as we had arrived to make sure everything was as it should be and answer any questions we may have had. He even gave us a head's up about the moose who liked to wander right through the yard of the cottage! We would absolutely recommend Alex's place to anyone who was looking for a peaceful weekend in the area.

This was our second stay at Kim and Scott's and we loved it again. Very private and peaceful cottage, right on the water. We brought out paddleboards and paddled the entire lake. Super cute place for two people.

We absolutely loved our stay and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. This place is a true gem in Mactaquac and a must-stay if you’re in the area. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the hot tub was a m treat, and the cabin itself had every comfort we could’ve asked for. From the cozy bed and spotless kitchen to the thoughtful touches like firewood, air conditioning, and a peaceful, well-designed space — it truly felt like home. We were tempted to cancel the rest of our trip and stay put! It’s clear the team has thought of every detail. The price is more than fair for the quality and experience. We’ll remember this stay for a lifetime and can’t recommend it enough!

We loved our stay at Genevieve’s! The house was in a beautiful location and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and fire pit, and it was so great being only a 10 minute drive from Saint-Jovite. Would love to visit again!

My stay at the cabin was perfect. A nice little get away with a peaceful atmosphere. The little creek running through was one of my favourite spots. Sitting on the moss covered boulders while the water flowed through and listening to the sounds of nature is just what i needed. I will definitely be back for my next adventure

A perfect stay in an enchanting setting! The log cabin is beautiful, bathed in light thanks to abundant fenestration. The calm of the place, the indoor fireplace, the animals that roam freely around... everything was together for a total healing. We even scratched a little guitar by the fire — a magical moment. We leave our hearts light and filled with beautiful energy. Thanks for a great getaway!

Rob & Deanna were wonderful hosts! They were also incredibly responsive and kind, which made everything even more seamless. Bardo cabins was the perfect weekend getaway-peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by nature. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. The place was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully maintained with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you both for sharing your beautiful space. We had an amazing stay at katherine’s, the place is gorgeous and right by the water. The place is very clean and very cozy. There are a lot of bugs as expected but they provided an electric bug zapper which was very helpful. They have a bbq and a very cute hut outside to hang out under with a net to protect from the bugs. And the canoe was a great addition as well. we wish we could’ve stayed longer. The wifi was actually way better than we thought, we were able to watch shows and movies on Netflix which was great! We would love to come again

Wow, what an unforgettable stay!! Trout fishing in the creek, walking in the forest and happiness around the fire. My dogs were delighted, and so were we. Ideal place to unwind.

We had a very lovely and peaceful time at Mike and Rosa's lakeside cabin. The cabin was incredibly well decorated and well equipped. So many thoughtful touches from the hosts, even including snacks for us to enjoy! We were so happy to have popcorn for our movie night on the projector and s'mores for the fire pit. We made great use of the kayak and paddle board on our stay and were very comfortable in the cabin. My dog also had a great time and I really appreciated the dog bowls and towels on hand! The location is just lovely and private. I could not recommend staying at this cabin enough and I have already recommended it to friends. Thank you Mike and Rosa!! We really had the most wonderful stay!

The cottage is very clean, cozy and full of things to do, the lake that it’s located on is spectacular. There are a bunch of ways to enjoy the water, kayaks, a canoe, paddle board and row boat. The hosts are very friendly and responsive we had a great time visiting their place

Clean, modern design with all the amenities—comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, strong Wi-Fi, and a serene natural setting. The space was spotless and thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind. The host was incredibly responsive and provided clear instructions, making check-in seamless. It was peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Very comfortable stay in the heart of nature - waking up to bird calls and rabbits prancing around the backyard. Really well equipped cottage - and they thoughtfully provided towels and treats for our dogs. A short drive to several charming lakes and towns . Highly recommend, and would love to stay here again!

Tracey’s brand new tiny house is big on amenities and comfort. Nestled in the woods with huge windows looking out onto treetops, this peaceful home is a sanctuary for writers, bird enthusiasts, solo travellers, couples, and those looking for something unique in a quiet rural area. In a 7-minute period, I picked up 23 birds on Merlin, and was greeted by yellow warblers in the nearby shrubs as I walked around. A young rabbit grazed every evening near the house. Tracey is welcoming and quick to respond to queries, and she has thought of so many details. There is a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed in a cozy room with attached balcony- a great selection of reading material, puzzles, amazing art everywhere you look. Finding enough reading lights or places to curl up with a book in a rental is a challenge sometimes. Not here, as Tracey has created spaces that beckon you to relax. We highly recommend this spotless, private, modern retreat for your next getaway!

Justin and Steph are super nice hosts! They were very responsive and answered all our questions. The welcome booklet was useful and helped us navigate the area. Their place is amazing—very clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious meals. The view is beautiful. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice weekend getaway. We’ll definitely come back again, especially in the winter to use the sauna.
