Casa da Fonte is in Lugar da Praia, a small village situated in a valley between the mountain and the beaches, on the south coast of São Miguel. It is in the center of the Island, close to the freeway, ideal as a starting point for long car or walking tours. There are several sandy beaches around, a waterfall and a natural pool a 5-minute walk away, and a hiking trail with a breathtaking landscape. Quiet site, in the middle of nature, without car noise. Completely relaxing and restorative!

Welcome to Castanheiro. Our property is a recently refurbished house built around a century old chestnut tree. A spacious terrace offers a panoramic view of the Santa Cruz Bay. It is conveniently located in Lagoa and within a 3 min walking distance to the ocean . A stroll to natural swimming pools will take you 10 min.
