Understanding Guest Favourites

Airbnb has more than 8 million listings for homes all over the world. Each is one of a kind, and this uniqueness is what sets Airbnb apart. 

One of the best ways to find a great place to stay is by knowing which homes guests love the most. That’s why we created Guest Favourites.

Guest Favourites are a collection of the most loved homes on Airbnb, according to guests. They’re based on ratings, reviews and reliability data from over half a billion trips. Guest Favourites are updated every day, so if your listing isn’t included now, it could be soon. 

A variety of factors help identify Guest Favourites, such as:

• At least 5 reviews from guests in the past 4 years, including at least 1 review in the past 2 years
• Overall star ratings, feedback in guest reviews and communication between guests and hosts on the platform
• High ratings for check-in, cleanliness, accuracy, communication, location and value
• A superb record of reliability, like host cancellations and quality-related customer service issues below 1% on average

If you have more than one listing, each will be treated individually when determining eligibility for the Guest Favourite badge.

Guest Favourites are available around the world and they’re easy to find on Airbnb. 

Homes that are Guest Favourites feature a badge in search results and on the listing page. A filter allows travellers to search for Guest Favourites.

Superhosts are top-performing hosts recognised for their track record of outstanding hospitality. Superhost performance is evaluated quarterly based on these requirements. Hosts who meet the requirements get a Superhost badge featured on their listing and profile.

If you’re a Superhost who has a listing included in Guest Favourites, both will be highlighted on your listing page, and your listing will have a Guest Favourite badge in search results. If you’re a Superhost with a listing that doesn’t yet qualify for Guest Favourites, you’ll still be recognised with a Superhost badge.
