This beach home is a few blocks to the beautiful Marco Island beaches! The home is perfect for riding bikes to the beaches, shops and restaurants. We have tried to think of everything to make this a hassle free retreat! We are always working on updates!

The space

Large screed patio with a large yard with many fruit trees. THIS HOUSE IS .7 MILES TO MARCO ISLAND BEACH ACCESS AT 300 S. COLLIER BLVD. AND 1.5 MILES TO TIGERTAIL BEACH COMMUNITY PARK ON HERNANDO DR. We purchased this beach retreat in November 2015. We just completed the 1/2 bath off the 2nd bedroom. .

Gas grill and bikes as well as cooler, beach chair, and umbrella provided.

TRANSPORTATION: A CARR Transportation. We discovered that this car company provides complimentary rides to several restaurants/bars to and from any location on the island, which was great for avoiding difficult parking situations and also to make sure we got home safely after a few drinks.! WHEN CLOSING THE HOUSE, PLEASE TAKE ANY TRASH AND ANY OPENED FOOD PRODUCTS TO THE TRASH BIN ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE. TRASH DAY IS THUR, AND THE BINS CAN BE PUT OUT BY THE MAIL BOX THE NIGHT BEFORE. THANKS!! THE CLEANING COMPANY WILL WASH THE SHEET AND CLEAN THE HOUSE.

Nice, quiet location with all the necessities. Close drive to beaches. Had a great stay and can't wait to come back! Exactly what we needed for a great price. If you stay make sure to order pizza and subs from Sami's, we ordered on the last two days and it was fantastic. We rented a boat from Coon Key Marina in Goodland, just a short drive away, and was perfect for a day of fishing.

No hot water in half bath which is in a room shared with washer and dryer off of garage. Screen enclosure is torn. Difficult to sit outside due to mosquitos and spiders. No furniture in bedrooms to place clothing. Only a closet to hang clothes. 2nd bedroom bed is extremely uncomfortable. Had to trim palm in front as we were all scratched in the face. It was growing into sidewalk. Many fire ant mounds in yard. Only chairs to use for beach are sports chairs. Sign on beach chairs "do not use". Bring your own.

I wish Rebecca would have let me know about the hot water in the new 1/2 bath, the service team could have adjusted the hot water when they come out. There is a table in the long master bedroom closet for suitcases etc. as well as a small desk. The 2nd bedroom also has a desk to set suitcases. The chairs that are marked do not use, belong to renters, our chairs are not marked do not use. I did not know the fire ant had gotten bad, we will have our service team out this week. I did move out the fire ant treatment until 7-10-2017, because Rebecca was bringing 4 dogs and I did not want the chemical on the ground with the dogs. I am really sorry that Rebecca had these issues, and we appreciate all feedback to make things better.

It was a great quiet house close to the beach. It was reasonably cost for the location. I highly recommend coming here if you have a party of 2 - 5 people. 5 stars!

This was a great place to stay! Very tidy, clean, and organized! In walking distance to several places. Will stay here again if we come back to Marco Island!

TIGERTAIL BEACH ACCESS

There is ample public paid parking for Tigertail Beach and Sand Dollar Spit off Hernando Drive with 226 parking spaces (see image below left). Facilities at the Tigertail beach parking lot include a cafe, restrooms, kid's play area and water sport rentals. A full day's parking is around $8.
It is a long walk from the parking lot to the water.

RESIDENT'S BEACH ACCESS

Roughly in the middle of the six mile crescent beach we have Resident's Beach, which despite it's name is mostly a large public beach apart from the resident's only parking lot (see image below left) and the area of beach which is immediately in front of the parking lot. The Marco Island Civic Association will issue a temporary guest pass if you are renting your vacation home for more than a month.

Madeira Condos Beach Access
MADEIRA BEACH ACCESS

Just to the south of Resident's beach there is a public beach access point located between The Royal Seafarer and the Madeira Condominiums at 350 South Collier Blvd. The beach access is just south and opposite Maple Ave. There is no parking here and access is via walking or bikes (see image above right)


Marriott Beach Access Turtle Parking Lot, S Collier Blvd
MARRIOT BEACH ACCESS

Public beach access is off South Collier Blvd near the Marriott Vacation Club (see image above left). The access point is between the Marriott Vacation Club and The Charter Club.

Public parking is available nearby at the Turtle Lot Parking (see image above right) which is located opposite The Charter Club on the corner of South Collier Blvd and Valley Ave.

SOUTH MARCO BEACH ACCESS

In the south of the island near Cape Marco (see image below left) we have South Marco Beach. Public access is from South Collier Blvd between the Apollo Condominiums and Cape Marco (see image above left). There is parking, bike racks and a free kids life jacket loaner station (see image above right).

Paid public parking at South Marco Beach is available at Swallow Avenue (see image below right). There are 70 parking spaces and also restrooms and a full day's parking is around $8.
