The space

Our house is just under Glastonbury Tor and has great views south across the Somerset levels. It is very peaceful and away from the main road. On the ground floor, we have a large double bedroom with french doors leading out onto its own patio. Bathroom (shower) adjoining. The price is for 1 or 2 people. If you bring a child or 3rd person we have also a single room next to the main room for £35 per night. TV/dvd and wifi available. Bed linen and towels provided. If you wish to book both rooms please enter 3 persons.
You are welcome to use our kitchen to make tea and coffee or breakfast etc and sit out on the patio to admire the view! We have owls and badgers in the wood adjoining. We are literally a few steps away from the gate that will lead you up to the Tor. It's best if you can come by car and there is plenty of room for you to park in our driveway. If you come by bus, we are about a 15 minute walk from the town centre. The pub is much closer! The nearest train station is Castle Cary and a taxi will take about 25 minutes to bring you here. Glastonbury is full of interesting shops and cafes/restaurants. Vegetarians are well catered for. There is often live music going on in the evenings. We are about 45 minutes by car to Bath and Bristol and Wells is about a 15 minutes drive. We look forward to seeing you and swapping travel stories!

Amazing hosts, that I cannot recommend enough. Hillary and Jonny are two of the nicest, most relaxed, welcoming, charming, bright, kind, open helpful people I could have ever hoped to find. Who could not have made me more welcome, or helped in every respect from the delicious food, to the local knowledge and help. Beautiful big, stylish room with ensuite and own balcony, with stunning views. It is literally part of the Tor, so you can go walking straight from the house, on the most gorgeous trails. I will only be staying their now in Glastonbury. Thanks you lovely guys

Fellow travellers, upon your arrival, you will find ample off road parking space for you viechle. You'll be met with a warm reception and be provided with your own key, giving you open access to your room at any time of the day or evening. Hilary and her husband are both friendly and approachable. In a quiet home, you will find both your bedroom and bathroom/shower space, both clean and warm. Access to a large kitchen/dinning area is unrestricted at any time of the day or night. There is also lovely a patio space to eat alfresco, (weather permitting) with lovely views out across the Somerset levels.

Hilary and Johnny are wonderful hosts! Their accommodations are clean, beds very comfortable with down pillows and comforter, and self serve breakfasts were designed to our liking. (However, we did luck out with being served soft boiled eggs and fruit smoothies!) Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Location is excellent at foot of walking trails and close to town. We were so glad to get a small tour in town. Recommended!!

The best! About a mile from town with some fun things to do and right by the tor which is a great walk. Spacious and comfy bed, breakfast with a view and warm and welcoming hosts. We wanted to stay longer!

I'm a teacher and Johnny is an architect. We enjoy walking, travelling, reading, writing. Johnny likes cycling and rock climbing. Other interests are buddhism, Leonard Cohen and the Lazy Gecko - a laid back cafe in town. Movie heaven is In Bruges, The Big Lebowski, french films like The Beat that my Heart Skipped and tv psycho thrillers like The Bridge and Spiral. We love chatting to people from different places/countries. We are pretty laid back and enjoy living surrounded by Nature. We look forward to being your hosts and can tell you where to find good walks. We've lived here for a long time and know the area pretty well.
