Katarina and her family welcomed us with such warmth. By far the best Air BnB hosts and home I've yet to stay in! The cottage is magical - very private and surrounded by unbelievable views of the mountains. There is a small pond with adorable frogs and behind the cottage the vegetable garden for the family's local (and super delicious!) tavern, which we were allowed to pick from. I will be recommending this cottage to anyone who is planning a visit to the area (do not hesitate to book!). Take me back!

My fiancé and I spent four days at the end of our holiday in this little gem. Katarina and her family were very communicative and helpful in arranging rather bespoke and specific transfers (thanks again). The accommodation itself is perfect if you want a break from the world, to get away from everything and live amongst the vines and the vegetable gardens surrounded by the wildlife (birds and frogs). This was a truly special experience for both of us, we spent quality time together, cycled to the nearby Gruda to stocked up on wine and essentials and then spent the rest of the trip dining from fresh veg picked in allotment gardens and cooking on the open wood burning bbq, roast peppers/tomotoes/squash/aubergine etc it was all amazing. The cottage is offgrid (with the exception of having wifi so kind of off grid?) solar powered, very clean with great cooking and bathroom facilities, a comfortable bed and warm good showers! It also surprisingly has some version of Eco air conditioning which is very effective! Our only travelling tip is take some mosquito repellent and a bit of bite cream for the late evening as we got a couple but it didn't detract from the amazing experience at all! This is a place to come to truly switch off, relax, read and rejuvenate. We never usually return but this is a very special place where time stands still, and life slows to its most enjoyable pace, we will certainly return to in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at the handmade and authentic cottage of the Mujo-family. Arriving at Marian's birthday we had a warm welcome at the pictoresque family Taverna, a homemade liquor drink and a chat at the huge kitchen oven fire. The cottage is in the middle of a valley, between grape vineyards and a garden where you can pick your own vegetables if you like. In short, you feel like a little castle owner for a few days. Very quit, for people who need or appreciate rest. Katarina, Ivo, Jura, Nike and family, in our hearts. Highly recommended, high hospitality!

What can we say other than this place is idilic. Without doubt our favourite place we have stayed.... it is great for a complete getaway, yet close to various attractions/activities if you want to venture out. We could easily have stayed for two weeks. Will be back when the weather is cooler to take advantage of the bikes :-)

What an authentic moment we had in Katarina's cottage! This place is may be the most authentic and loving place we have ever been in our life. This remote little nest is in the middle of a beautiful nature and vineyard, with only birds and frogs as neighbors! Solar panels for electricity, vegetables and fruits from the garden behind the house free to pick up, incredible! It really felt like home. And most of it, the welcoming of the whole family, and the care and love they obviously put in all of this!!... With the bikes available, the village is at less than 10mins away, with everything you need. For sure we really recommend this experience, and this place, and we wish to come back as soon and as long as we can!

This cottage is much more plush than the photos lead on. My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon, and were pleasantly surprised at the solar energy, the hot water heater, WiFi, refrigerator, etc. I would say this is the opposite of "roughing it." Even by American standards we felt right at home here. The home is located on a vineyard and there are even rows of fresh veggies that we picked and made dinner with! It was such a charming and enjoyable experience. My favorite part is the pond located next to the home with the fish and frogs. Super cute. Our hosts were excellent. They were warm and friendly and were available within minutes for any needs we had. I highly recommend this place and if we come back to Croatia we will definitely stay here again.
