Small but perfectly formed! A sunny and warm private room awaits you in a gorgeous wee space. Super comfy bed. Electric blanket. Unlimited wifi. Short drive to beach and walking distance to town. Sweeping rural views, deck. Ten minutes walk to hospital for staff looking for a place to stay

The space

Compact with everything you need for a fantastic stay! So handy to town yet rural feel. Take your pick of beaches - 10 minutes to Ahipara, 20 minutes to Doubtless Bay or Karikari Peninsula, 15 minutes to Lake Ngatu. Catch the bus to Cape Reinga. Comfy lounge, sunny deck, great spots to relax after a day at the beach or out exploring.

Light continental breakfast of fruit, cereal, toast and spreads is included in the price.

Please note this is a small room with a double bed. It is a good size for a single person but maybe a tight space for a couple.

The home was cosy and well put together. I loved my bed and the room was just right. It is a great space and location for my travels. I enjoyed Carolyn's friendly vibe and conversations from our travel experiences to politics :) I highly recommend her listing.

Carolyns place is cosy and tidy with a very comfortable bad. The location is perfect for trips to the local beaches as well as to Cape Reinga and the Bay of Islands. Carolyn herself is very easy to talk to, helpful and just a lovely person. Would stay again at her place when I'm around. Thx, Caro!

Carolyn's place is handy and immaculate. Comfy bed but too much hi-tech (TV) for me. Great place to stay.

Response from Carolyn:
Great hosting you Lyn and sorry you didn't want to take up my TV training offer - Netflix is pretty simple once you get the hang of it- next time

Interaction with guests

I work during the day but home most evenings. My home is quite compact so if you want total privacy this is probably not the right place. If you're looking for a relaxing and friendly home away from home then come on over! Having worked in conservation and the tourism sector, I have extensive knowledge of the Far North and Northland and am very happy to provide any advice or suggest itineraries.

About Carolyn

Living in the beautiful Far North. Love to travel and have been to lots of different places in NZ and overseas. I enjoy meeting people and experiencing different cultures.
