One of Lewisburg's oldest dwellings (1795), in excellent condition, airy and light-filled, view of river from porch. Backyard with patios, arbor and charcoal barbecue.

*Park on the street, but don't leave cars after 7 AM Monday--they tow!
*Don't use walkway by the stone house, it's not ours

The space
We thank Airbnb for introducing their Living Wage pledge. We could not make this home available without Denise, who prepares before each guest and makes it a lovely place to stay. We have made the commitment that she will be paid fairly for her work, which should be everyone's right. Also please note: our bathrooms are very small, by today's standards; they date from the 1960s, when we all were used to less.

River view, old houses, yards, the bridge, May's (small diner-ish, with 28 flavors of ice cream) right across the river, the Fence drive-in restaurant a mile down on the far side, which is a must-visit.

This is the family home of a Bucknell University professor, which his three sons are maintaining. It has been in our family since 1963, and we take good care of it. It's a five minute walk to the shops and restaurants on Market Street, and for breakfast you can stroll across the bridge at the head of South Water Street to May's Drive-In, just across the river. The house has a backyard with two patios, and an old Weber grill for barbecuing. The kitchen is spacious, and it has an old-fashioned "mudroom" as a back porch. We like to sit on the front porch when the weather is warm, and have coffee looking at the river flow by.
