Built by Alaskan gold miners in the early 1900’s, the Bear Cub Cabin was reconstructed in 2016. Nestled in the beautiful Chugach National Forest with towering Alaskan mountains right at your doorstep. This historical cabin is clean, cozy and perfect for a couple looking to experience the many activities of the Kenai Peninsula. Perfectly located close to the beautiful seaside city of Seward, world-class king salmon fishing in Cooper Landing, and the charming town of Moose Pass.

The space
Welcome to the historic Wolf Cabin reconstructed from a piece of Alaska’s gold mining history. The cabin was built by miners during the first gold rush in Alaska in 1906 at Lower Summit Lake. It was moved to Moose Pass in the 1940’s, and acted as a residence and post office to the Wolf family until it was abandoned in the 1970’s. Our family bought the property and has moved the cabin to its new location.

The cabin was disassembled and reconstructed in 2016. It is completely refinished inside with the modern conveniences of a bath and kitchen. It is a small 12x18 cabin, but well equipped. The stairs to the loft are very steep; it will be necessary for guests to have the ability to climb a ladder to the queen size bed in the loft. Due to the steepness of the stairs, this cabin is not suitable for small children, the elderly, or handicapped people.
