Our place is located on Hibbard Bay,close to YMCA Camp Abnaki, Hero's Welcome General Store, state parks, marinas, of course Lake Champlain!, great views, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, Burlington, Montreal and Plattsburgh NY.. You’ll love our studio because of the coziness, amenities, views, quiet neighborhood and the location. The studio is good for couples and one other guest, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
We would like to make your stay with us as pleasant as possible. Let us know if you have special needs, arrival time and/or check out. We will accommodate such needs to the best of our ability while taking in consideration the reservation calendar.
We encourage to you make yourselves at home, wander through our gardens, pick vegetables for your meal, enjoy the view, make a fire in the outdoor fire pit and relax. To access the lake for a swim, Knight State Park is directly across the bay.
Interaction with guests
We will be available during check in and check out and by phone if we are not on the premise.
Other things to note
We live on the premises with our very friendly black labrador Muna. In the fallof 2017 the main house (not the studio) will be finally converted to a small Bed & Breakfast. The atmosphere will continue to be relaxed and quiet and we will continue to offer our studio on airbnb; keeping the studio private, separate and self sufficient like it is now.
I am a retired off-premise caterer, owning and running my business for 28 years in Southern Vermont. Also I am a partner in our family operated General Contracting, Build, Design business. Jamie runs our business with our son Jesse. We have raised two great children and have joyously welcomed our new grandson. Our North Hero home was originally an 1800's barn, converted to a home 25 years ago. We purchased our house as a vacation home, have undertaken major renovations, fell in love with North Hero and moved here full time in 2009.
We both love Lake Champlain, gardening, NPR's The Moth Radio Hour, music , sitting by the outdoor fire and getting to know people.
