Whether you're here for a reception at the Hamlin House, a presentation at Roswell, a Sabres game or the bar exam, no location is more central to the things you want to do.

The space
Allentown is a Historic Preservation District. Our building was built in 1852. The building was most likely more utilitarian in nature than some of the neighboring buildings built a few years later. Your apartment has hardwood floors throughout.

For a number of years, the building was home to the Sisti Art Gallery. You'll see some remnants of that on the property, particularly outside. There are various pedastals (columns out on Franklin) that once were platforms for various statues. The columns in front of the building came from the Federal Reserve building in Buffalo that was torn down sometime in the 1930's.

I purchased the property in the mid 1990's. It was, for the most part, boarded up (one tenant remained upstairs). Drop ceilings had been installed, and tile put over the hardwood floors. We've attempted to return the building to the condition it would have been before these modifications.

The Allentown neighborhood is known for its bars and restaurants. With the addition of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, the area is flourishing. When you arrive, I can recommend restaurants that fit your tastes, and budget. Within a short walk, you'll have many to choose from. Just a few blocks farther, there are a number of great new areas springing up. One of my current favorites is Big Ditch, with Deep South Taco just down the block. I wasn't a big beer fan, but Big Ditch is worth the stop.

I've had the property in Allentown for about 20 years. I've been a traditional landlord for most of that time. The building is centrally located, and in a part of town that is seeing renewed intererst, in good part due to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus just a couple of blocks away. I decided in April of 2016 to give short term, fully furnished renting a try, and it has been fun (and surprising) to meet interesting people from around the world.

I do have an interest in books. Rooms that I have on Airbnb have a significant number of them. If you look close, you'll find a few gems sprinkled among them (more so in the larger unit).

Whether work or pleasure brings you to Buffalo, we'll do our best to make your time here both enjoyable and memorable.
