Welcome to my serene and spacious apartment on a peaceful, tree-lined street in beautiful West Philadelphia. This space is a great fit for couples, families with older children (although all ages are certainly welcome), and business travelers. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to host pets at this location.

Sarah's place is cute, hip and well-appointed. A former West Philly native, Sarah's place is quintessential "left of center" with cool art work and vintage furniture. Her spot is in close proximity to at least three local coffee shops (more but we also visited three) and is in …

We enjoyed our stay in Sarah’s home. It was clean and quiet, and very spacious. It was quite well supplied with most things we needed, including huge towels. The beds were comfortable. When we thought we had a problem with a smoke detector, we contacted Sarah and she got back to…

Response from Sarah:
Dear Keith and Maxine, Thank you so much for the very helpful feedback about the apartment! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know how I can make this space more comfortable. I will get a space heater for the bathroom, increase the dishes in the kitchen and update my listing to emphasize the relentless watch of the Philadelphia Parking Authority. I also appreciated your understanding with the smoke alarm and prompt communication about same. You are the sort of guests make Airbnb work. I hope you have a wonderful 2018!

Sarah is a wonderful host and her home is fantastic! Quaint, hip and quiet. Location is close enough to the excitement of Philly but far enough away to breathe and park! Definitely recommend!

Overall, we were thankful for the warm place to sleep (with parking!) while we visited our family for Thanksgiving, yet it was one of our least favorite Airbnb stays. Immediately upon entry, the accommodation smelled like gas from the stove. We were panicked but Sarah responded …

Response from Sarah:
Dear Tessa, I am so sorry to hear that you had an uncomfortable stay in my apartment! I know the smell of gas from a pilot light having gone out in the kitchen stove was unsettling and I appreciate your quick communication, window opening, and flexibility letting my landlord in quickly to relight the pilot. It's true that this apartment is in a Victorian Twin which was built in the early 1900's and it does show that age. I was drawn to living in this building because of the touches that come with that age, like the pegged joists on the wood floors, tall ceilings, stained glass window in the bathroom, and the neighborhood full of Victorian twins like it. That said, it definitely should have been cleaned much more thoroughly before you arrived. I'm sorry to hear that there were crumbs and dog food on the floors and that the sheets were stained! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know about all of these things so I could fix them. I had my landlord snake the drain and tighten the towel bar near the shower; hired an extra cleaner to deep clean the apartment; and asked my co-host to carefully inspect all of the linens for stains. She did find a fitted sheet that had some ink marks on it which she must have missed after a previous checkout; she's removed those sheets from the rotation. I really appreciate the helpful feeback and hope you have a wonderful 2018! Best, Sarah

We loved staying in Sarah's adorable apartment in West Philly. We were in town for the marathon and needed a comfortable and private place to stay - Sarah's place was it! We loved the personal touches in the space and the bed was very comfortable. It was also an easily accessible…
