Thanks for your feedback. We work very hard and take pride in offering our guests the cleanest and most comfortable possible space, so are disappointed that you found our efforts lacking. It sometimes takes both us the entire six hours between check out and check in to launder and iron the sheets and do all the other myriad tasks involved in preparing the apartment to our standards.
You're right in describing the faint discoloration of the vinyl flooring near the shower as a stain, as it actually is permanently damaged and can't be cleaned – we have tried numerous solutions to no avail. I'm sure you understand that it's not realistic to replace good, cleanable, and sanitary bathroom flooring each time it my be slightly damaged by a guest, but I can assure you that, should we decide it cannot be cleaned, sanitized and made comfortable underfoot, we will replace it post haste. We may have to remove the rust stained vinyl from the cabinet under the sink.
As for the smell in the kitchen, we, too noticed it when we went in to clean after your departure. In the future we will be certain to instruct our guests not to deposit lobster gurry (the leftover shells and body parts) in the trash as it begins to smell almost immediately. The best way to dispose of gurry is to take it to the dock and return it to the waters from which it came.
