Nomata is on a private waterfront with a natural beach & its own natural pool (see the photo!) plus close to most family-friendly activities. You’ll love Nomata because of the outdoors space, location, views, corals, snorkelling, ambiance, and the people. Nomata is perfect for couples, families with kids and groups. Local staff available for cleaning etc.
We can organise airport transfers for you as well as a local driver and bus for outings if not hiring a car. Managers close by.

The space

An open tropical plan design with huge outdoor covered eating area Nomata has been built to get the cross breeze through the property and even on the warmest of days you will not feel stuffy! The rooms also have ceiling fans and the furniture and doors have been predominantly made from local wood. The TV is screen only for DVDs or hard drives for movies etc.

Guest access

The whole property-an acre of gardens with papaya trees leading to an natural pool and inlet where you can swim along the reef.
Undercover parking if you hire a car.

Interaction with guests

I will be available if necessary during your stay but you will have the manager of the property a few blocks away. You will be given their email and telephone prior to arrival to organise your arrival time to be shown the Property

Other things to note

Nomata is not in the centre of Efate for those who are coming for business.
It is in the best area for relaxing, swimming and general holidaying.
It is a very easy route to town if you want to go there as there are few roads on the island and No traffic lights! It is on the road for the Summit, Zipline, Wet and Wild and nearer Tanna Coffee, Beach Bar Cascades and Hideaway Island than if you were in the centre

Love Vanuatu, great location and wonderful snorkelling. Used the opportunity to experience active volcano on Tanna, stunning.

So glad that you had a wonderful tropical holiday with your family at Nomata. We hope to see you back for a longer visit very soon when you can discover more of the clownfish colonies and corals at the doorstep. You will also need to take the children, and yourselves, to some of the activities in our area : the Friday night Fireshow, the Zipline and the Summit, Wet and Wild and of course Hideaway Island...

We loved staying at Nomata. The house is large and comfortable. Indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. There is a very good coffee plunger so buy a pack of Tanna coffee for your morning brew. The tap water is safe to drink. Make sure you get the phone number of Sam the driver. Phone him a week or so before you are due to arrive at Nomata to make sure he can pick you up at the airport. I have a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) account that I put credit on and can phone any mobile anywhere at a reasonable price using the Internet. This is great for just such situations. You will need to do a big shop for a few days supplies and change some currency. It will take about 40 minutes from Port Vila to Nomata so plan well. Get a SIM card at the airport or supermarket. TVL has reception at Nomata but I believe Digicel does not. Important to have a phone for contacting a driver. Take your own snorkelling equipment and you will need reef shoes. Nomata is all about the planning. Shop for fresh produce at the market in town before going to the supermarket. You will get much better produce and a much better price. A great place for a family holiday. We loved staying here. Sitting under the gazebo with coffee first thing in the morning or a wine of an evening is lovely. Anna has provided lots of information so you can plan your touristy things. No TV reception but there are DVDs. Wifi is fine for emails. You will go home feeling very relaxed.

So glad that you spent a wonderful few weeks at Nomata with the family and enjoyed the snorkelling and relaxed life style. Next time you come there are a couple of smaller supermarkets closer to the property and some fruit and vegetable markets too! Looking forward to having you all back soon.

Anna's place is in a beautiful secluded spot with nobody else around so it really is very relaxing. The cove down to the sea is beautiful and she was a great host! The house is out of town and down a really pot holed road that takes a while (around 40- an hour) to drive down, so you will need a car or to take enough food / drink so that you don't have to leave every day. However, we still had a great time and I would recommend! :)

So glad that you loved Nomata too-yes the road has been a problem this year with the rains stopping the road being graded. You will be glad to know that it will be done soon and in fact, it is to be a tarmac road soon! look forward to seeing you again in our little piece of paradise Cheers Anna

We were welcomed at the gate, by the gardener and later the property manager. It was lovely as we were so late from the airport, lovely that some one was keeping an eye out for us! The property was spacious, and the garden awesome with the natural rock pool made beautifully accessible! The property manager was fabulous at looking after us if we needed anything. We had our 3 kids aged 2 to 7 with us, they have special dietary needs and the kitchen was more than well stocked with good kitchen wares. I would definitely recommend this property to friends ! Thank you!
