Nice and cosy lodge but too cold. Only for summer time. In winter, I would not rent this place.

Response from Rod & Karen:
I think the cold is referring to the weAther.. I stocked the wood stove so that all they needed was to light it.. we tell guests not to leave the stove going too late because it gets so hot you can't sleep. I am in the cabin right now and the Cooker and bathroom light work perfectly.. . There is a barb que. Guests have stayed since and loved it but Karen and I are very sorry and disappointed that we let you down.. hope the rest of your Holliday is terrific

What a beautiful place, the view of the lake was fantastic. It was so quiet, and peaceful. We had fun with using the wood stove to keep the place heated. Rod was always checking with us to see if we needed anything. I enjoyed being able to BBQ our dinners on the porch. We were a bit late in the season for swimming, but there was a nice beach, dock, and floating trampoline. We do plan on returning the next time we are in the area.

Rod and Karen's place is beautiful. Quiet and peaceful yet with lots to do. Kayaking, walking, games, pedaloes, BBQing or just relaxing! Our cabin was great - so cosy, luxurious and with everything we needed plus loads more. Rod was incredibly welcoming, friendly, helpful and generous. We had a fantastic time, were sad to leave and would definitely recommend to others.

Very clean and relaxing cabin. When we arrived, Karen offered us the option to upgrade to a cabin on the lakefront which was well worth it. They were friendly and welcoming! If you're looking for restaurants in the area, The Boondocks (20 min west of the location) was quite tasty

The area is so peacefully at the lakefront. The cabin is cosy and comfortable. The hosts Karen and Rod were very kind, helpful and warm-hearted. We had the pedal boats and kayaks for great tours at the lake. Grocery&gas were a few km to drive. We loved our stay in the nature. Very recommended.

Karen was very welcoming and ensured throughout our stay that we were happy even loaning outdoor games for us. Beautiful spot by the lake and lovely log cabin. The place was very serene and relaxing time out for us from our busy schedule.

Staying here was a great decision. The cabins are cozy, clean and comfortable. Some of them are right on the water, while in some you have to look past a cabin to see the lake. But the truth is that they are all in a lovely location! Rod and Karen are very friendly and helpful hosts too. We were travelling across the province and stopped here for two nights, and I'm so glad that we did. We borrowed their canoe and paddled around the most wonderful, peaceful lake and were treated to a remarkable show by a couple of loons whose calls echoed across the lake. I would thoroughly recommend this as a stopover for any traveller, but make sure you leave yourself at least one day to enjoy the location. There's a most wonderful, authentic Italian restaurant minutes away, too, if you're into that sort of thing (like me!)
