Hacienda Horizonte is a 100 acre, working coffee plantation located in the mountains of Utuado. The Casona is located next to a lake, and within a short walk from Rio Tanama, which runs through the hacienda grounds.
The Rimbaud Room at the Hacienda is close to great views, family-friendly activities, and restaurants and dining. You’ll love my place because of the views, the people, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
The space is personally decorated by singer/songwriter Robi Draco Rosa. The rainforest loft is very close to organic fruit trees, a lake, and the Rio Tanama River, which is great for swimming. There are hiking trails on the Hacienda, and there are horses on the property for tours.
There is a spacious bathroom with mountain views, two queen beds are in the main sleeping area of the rainforest loft, and one twin bed is by the TV area. There is a small fridge in the room for your convenience.
Guests have access to a kitchen (only during working hours while the hacienda staff are on-site), and the grounds of Hacienda Horizonte. BUT it is possible to set up daily breakfast or any other meals with advanced notification. You have access to acres of hiking trails, a mile of river, a lake, the coffee plantation, horse back riding (though Batey Tours), and organic fruit grown on the property. This is NOT a rental for the private living areas and private living and bed rooms of the owner, singer/songwriter Draco Rosa. This rental is one room in his hacienda in the main house. His private living quarters are locked most of the time, unless the staff is around.
Breakfast at the hacienda made by Hacienda Staff IS possible but that, or any other meal plans, would have an additional charge and can be paid directly to the staff member making the meal or in advanced.
Interaction with guests
I will be able to help set up any tours with Batey Tours (horse tours, river tours, zip line tours, etc.) and to set up any food related requests (such as delivery, breakfast at the hacienda, or any other scheduled meals made on site, kitchen use, etc.) I will also be able to help set up laundry service if needed.
Other things to note
This is a very large hacienda in the countryside of Puerto Rico. There are animals who live on the grounds, like cats, geese, horses, and a variety of birds and smaller animals.
Please remember to call or message as soon as you land at SJU.
Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner is possible at the Hacienda Terraza with advance notice. Breakfast is $15 per person per plate, dinner and lunch are $24 per person per plate. Drinks, including locally picked organic juice/coffee, are included. Sushi, through a sushi chef, is also possible with advance notice.
