The home is walking distance to North Berkeley BART, Monterey Market, Espresso Roma Cafe, Gioia Pizzeria, Westbrae Biergarten, Berkeley's "Gourmet Ghetto," Albany's Solano Avenue establishments, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. You’ll love the neighborhood setting with nearby parks, and easy access to Bay views and hiking trails in the hills. Experience the convenient location, comfort, and warm, friendly people. My place is good for solo adventurers, visiting researchers and business travelers.

The space
I call this room "The Forest Room," for both the trees outside the window as well as the soothing green interior decor. This private room with queen bed shares no walls with any other bedroom and includes comfortable office furniture for those who have business to conduct on their stay. Historically, ideal for those who have commitments outside the home during regular business hours. During COVID times, perhaps better suited for those who can largely shelter-in-place.

Dawna Markova’s poem sums up my "life credo":

I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible;
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes on to the next blossom,
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.

Three (3) Einstein quotes which point to keys guiding my choices to align my personal, professional, and spiritual development paths:

"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift."

"The significant problems we face cannot be solved by the same level of thinking we were at when we created them."

"A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
