This Pied a Terre is next door to St Mary's Chapel and Jesmond Dene. It's a 5 minute stroll to lovely places for breakfast, drinks or an evening meal. Transport links are excellent, the metro into the city centre, metro centre, the airport and the coast is a 5 minute walk. You’ll love my place because of the location, it really is perfect. I have off road parking you can use and easy access to motorways both north and south.

The space

It's snug but it has all you need, an ensuite, comfortable double bed and tea and coffee making facilities. It is a 'foot on the ground' and perfectly situated for visiting the North East. There is a large flat screen tv with sky channels and fast wifi for when you return from exploring.

Guest access

You have your own ensuite, tea and coffee facilities, off road parking and your own front door which means there is no curfew! On the down side you do not have access to a kitchen but on the plus side there are masses of places to get food within a few minutes walk. You also have access to an outdoor area which you can use if the weather is good.

Interaction with guests

I like to personally welcome my guests and hand over keys but I work part time and so sometimes I may arrange to leave a key in a safe place for guests. I am available at all times either by phone or knocking at my front door if needed though.

Other things to note

I have pets in the main part of my house, 2 small dogs and 3 cats. They have no access to the guest property though. This is my home and as your room is attached to my kitchen I am sometimes around in the the morning fixing breakfast, doing chores and sorting out my pets. I do try to be quiet but like I say it is my home and you may hear me pottering about after 8 am in the morning or in the evening.

Exactly as everyone else has mentioned in their reviews and as stated in the description. An excellent stay, great location and lovely room. We had two cars, and Joanne was kind enough to provide us with a parking permit and leave our cars there even after we had checked out. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

We really enjoyed our weekend. Joanne’s house is in a perfect location and she provided everything we needed, including lots of toiletries! We would love to stay there again when we’re next in Newcastle.

A lovely little room tucked away in leafy Jesmond. The furnishing is comfy and clean, with tea and coffee provided to help settle you in. There are a selection of nice places for coffee and places to eat (and drink) within 10 minutes walk, perfect to get an evening out off to a strong start! The real jewel in the crown is the wonderful park just around the corner from the accommodation, with a series of tree-lined paths leading past waterfalls and an old mill. Perfect for a bit of recovery after a few too many the night before!

This is a lovely cosy room, it is private, quiet and very comfortable. As Joanne says in her description, there isn't a huge amount of space, but there are lots of thoughtful and generous details such as a little bottle of (nice) wine, and lots of good sized (URL HIDDEN) is warm, clean, there are lots of things to use in the bathroom. A really lovely place to stay.

It's a perfect pied a terre. Compact but comfortable. Joanne has thought of everything with lots of little touches to make you feel welcome and at home. Will definitely stay again when next in Newcastle.
