Our long weekend at the Sheephouse Barn was really pretty perfect. Not just for the idyllic, peaceful location and tasteful comfort of the barn, or for its proximity to beautiful countryside, beaches, towns and villages – but for the warmth and generosity of Di and Graham, superhosts in every respect. It’s always a bonus when you arrive to personal, thoughtful touches, but they really went the extra (country) mile, from providing bountiful breakfast-and-beyond supplies (including fresh fruit, deli nibbles, chocolates and wine) to inviting us over for a cuppa and lovely chat before we left. We’d return in a heartbeat, and only hope this gem of a place will be available when we do.

The property was great - exactly as described, and in a peaceful, secluded location within easy reach of nearby towns and beaches. Diane and Graham were perfect hosts, leaving us alone to enjoy the barn in peace but happy to meet us for tea and a chat. They even went as far as to leave us some groceries, a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates, and a gingerbread biscuit for our toddler on arrival. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest, we still really enjoyed our time there.

A hidden gem. Wonderfull place to stay, a place where you can relax and where the owners do everything to make you feel at home. We stayed here with our two little children and everything was provided: babycot, babychair, fresh fruit,.... many thanks to Diane and Graham.

My wife and our 6 week old son just spent a long weekend here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was simply the perfect getaway. Diane sent through all of the directions and info well in advance and even offered their travel cot which we took advantage of. The space itself is beautiful and has been furnished to a very high standard. It is also stocked with everything you would possibly need - from the very generous welcome pack of wine, olives, cheese, ham, chocolates and a bounty of fruit and vegetables - to all of the essentials such as cooking equipment, washing machine, towels, bluetooth speaker, radio etc - every little detail had been thought through. The location was simply stunning - set in the middle of the countryside and a short drive to Rye, Hastings and all the local sights. The main house is nearby in case you have any issues, but the barn still feels very private. Would totally recommend this to anyone looking to get away from it all in luxury accommodation. Thanks for having us!

I am retired and living in this beautiful location with my husband Graham, a large but gentle dog called Bella and a talkative African Grey parrot - I have 8 grandchildren ranging from 5 weeks to 27 and another on the way and therefore I am extremely
easy going and children friendly. I love walking on the beach nearby at Camber Sands and looking after our prize winning garden.
