Our 2 room mini-suite includes access to a half bathroom across the hall - sink and toilet - as well as a BRAND NEW SPACIOUS, FULLY ENCLOSED, SECURE OUTDOOR SHOWER! Our two room mini-suite sleeps 2 guests, is within walking distance to downtown dining, entertainment and nightlife, and the ferries. Visit one of three nearby beaches, all while being conveniently located near shopping, banking, the Hyannis Transportation Center, ferry service to the islands.
We have been told, over and over again, how stylish and accommodating our mini-suite and shared outdoor seating area are, and how many songbirds can be heard. We do hope you experience our mini-suite that way too, but with all that our convenient location has to offer, we don't expect you'll be spending much time there because our spacious studio is centrally located in Hyannis, within walking distance - less than one mile - to downtown attractions, including family and fine dining, entertainment opportunities, such as arcades, bowling, small shops, the JFK Museum, McKeon Park - home of Cape Cod Baseball League's Harbor Hawks, the Village Green, where you can experience a number of free local events, activities and festivals, Asselton Park, ideal for picnicking or just relaxing and enjoying it's scenic view of Hyannis Harbor, where ferries shuttle passengers to and from the Islands, plenty of nightlife and, of course, beaches: Keyes Memorial Beach, and Veterans Park Beach, with charcoal barbecues, a playground and swimming. Next door is the JFK Memorial - all less than 2 miles from our home - and less than a mile down the road from the JFK Memorial is Kalmus Beach - our favorite and host of the annual Independence Day fireworks display. If your in the mood for a little longer drive, visit the ever popular Craigville Beach, which is less than 5 miles from our home. A short drive provides you access to banks/ATMs, a choice of five grocery and two drug stores, the Cape Cod Mall, a big box store, fast food chains, gas stations and many, many other shopping opportunities, or enjoy some local sightseeing, visit any one of a number of our treasured Cape Cod beaches, each with its own appeal, such as world renowned Nauset and Coastguard Beaches and Race Point, on the lower Cape, or commune with nature on one of our many walking/hiking/biking trails, including one of our favorite attractions, Fort Hill. Take a day trip through the Truro dunes, to the tip of the Cape - Provincetown, a well-known fishing and artist colony, and the initial landing place of the Mayflower or visit it for its eclectic, diverse nightlife hotspots. Don't forget to see the seals in Chatham, on your way to P-town, and maybe some sharks too!
Access is from the hallway after entering through the driveway door. The entrance to the mini-suite is the first door on the left with the half bathroom across the hall. Because our full-time jobs do not allow us to be available on weekdays during check-in time, we offer self check-in available by using the lockbox, located on the door jamb of the door in the driveway. Simply punch in the code 87096, which will open the lock box, where you will find the keys to the entry and mini-suite.
Interaction with guests
My husband Andy and I are attentive, accommodating hosts, available to answer any questions guests may have and, in most instances, get back to our guests within 2 hours of their outreach. Either of us can be reached by phone, text, email or through AirBnB. With the types of full-time jobs we have we are not always able to meet and greet guests, upon their arrival, and may not be able to get back to inquiries for hours, but you may rest assure that we will respond. On week days, Andy is driving a school bus between the hours of 6AM and 5PM, although you may be able to catch him, from time to time, in the middle of the day between routes. As for me, as a hospital social worker, I am pretty much unavailable from 8AM to 4PM during the week. We ask that you call or text us, when you leave, so we may have our cleaning company preparing the home for our next guest(s) and we also ask that you please, please, please take the time to write us a review :)
Other things to note
Andy and I live on the premises. From mid-April through mid-October, we stay in the spacious studio, across the hall from the mini-suite and rent the mid-century modern ranch. From mid-October through mid-April, we stay in the mid-century modern ranch and rent the spacious studio. Both are also listed on AirBnB. We all park in the same driveway, which is not a problem because there is plenty of room for all :)
You must be 21 years or older to drink. Our entire property is non-smoking. Please leave our mini-suite just as you found it - neat, clean and in good repair. Please note: we have a strict check-out policy. Check-out is at 11:00. Our cleaning service has a tight schedule and charges us $15 for every 15 minutes past 11:00 that they are unable to get into the mini-suite to clean and prepare it for our next guests, which we pass along to our guests, so please, please, please make sure you leave by 11:00 to avoid this fee and please come back at a 10% discount :)
My husband Andy and I raised two children on Cape Cod where we continue to live and work. I am a a social worker and Andy is a school bus driver. When we're not working, we enjoy spending time with our adult children and grandchildren, travel, nature trails, working on our home, going to our favorite beach, routing for our beloved Cape Cod Baseball League team, the Harbor Hawks and, of course, going out to dinner at our favorite Cape Cod restaurants. Our home, we have been told over and over again, is warm and inviting. We are attentive hosts, available by phone or text to answer any questions before and during your stay. Our goal is to ensure that all of our guests enjoy Cape Cod and our home as much as we do!
