My place is inside Nature Park Sierra de Grazalema, it offers great hiking, walking and climbing, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the lovely sunshine, pure air and pure water, piece and nature. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

Book a flight to Malaga, Seville or Jerez de la Frontera, hire a car and start exploring this vast and beautiful area.

The space

At only a couple of meters from our land passes a stream: Arroyomolino. At the opposite side of our land passes another stream that carries water to a mill (molino) down stream. This water, combined with the wonderful climate leads to a large variety of flora and fauna.

The house is small but therefore quite cosy. The English would call it a cottage. The biggest space is a combined sitting room combined with a small kitchen. Next to it is the master bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with shower.
The other bedroom has its own bathroom with shower, has its own access from outside. It is called the 'chozo' and is build from natural stones. It only has one very small window and we can't change that as anything within the park has to stay as is. The lay out with separate bedrooms is ideal for a family or for two couples, you won't hear each other.
When you have small children however, you would want them a bit closer or at hearing distance. There is a folding cot that you could place in the living room. The sofa is a sofa bed, which would also be a solution.

Are you coming alone, or is it the two of you, we will leave the 'chozo' closed, so it stays clean for the next guests.

Guest access

You will have the whole place for your selves, there will be no other people. (if you come alone or with 2, we keep to the chozo closed).
You will feel very private and secure: very few people visit the area. You might be spotted by a few wild mountain goats during twilight from far away, but that's all.

Its ideal to read books or write a book. At night I recommend to lie down outside and do some star gazing. Its a real good place to un stress quickly and overthink your life and the next step you are going to take.

Interaction with guests

We normally set up a temporary Whats App group before and during your stay, in which - apart from you - the owners, our Maintenance man Manolo and our multipurpose woman Cati will be present to resolve anything that could occur.

Other things to note

If you have (very) small children, please take care they do not fall in the pool.

What a wonderfull place! The beautiful little house is situated in a stunning nature reserve. It offers complete privacy, yet it's close to some authentic historic villlages with lovely terraces that are great for lunch and dinner. The pool is a big plus in the summer heat. Elbert is a very helpfull host, and communication was straightforward and pleasant.

Very nice location in the middle of the nature, and basic but satisfactory comfort in and around the house (small but nice swimming pool inclusive). Visit to Zahara de la Sierra and other places (e.g. Ronda) for which many tourists travel a full day, are reachable in 30' and less. Lake at the evening is also a must-do - you can do star gazing and count many thousands of stars while enjoying the real silence. We also did a rather tough but very nice walk that started right away from the house up to the top at 1325m and back: top! Be aware that this is a bit of mountain-like: even in hot summer, the evenings and mainly the mornings are a bit chilly (less than 20°) while the middle of the day is hot.

This is a beautiful little house in quiet, peaceful and stunning surroundings. The pool is beautiful and the grounds were perfect for our dogs. Walking distance to the lake and we loved our own personal wine cooler! Would recommend.

An amazing location! Beautiful and peaceful and quiet. The garden, pool, and shady terrace with BBQ are lovely. Inside is quite basic and the second room especially is a bit gloomy and doesn't have a window to speak of. A place to retreat and relax. relax and be outdoors.

This place is quite rural, scenic, secluded and serene, but a short drive to Ronda and two other scenic hill towns, Zahara and Grazalema. Elbert's communication for check-in in was outstanding! He was nice enough to arrange for us to check in early. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Having travelled a lot (about 45 countries), I fell in love with my beautiful wife and at the same time with this amazing part of Spain, its nature, its friendly people, its climate, history and traditions.
The Sierra de Grazalema, to me is something close to paradise.
