My family and I had a fantastic time at Tara's cottage. The property was amazing and the kayaks were a family favourite. The cottage was as shown and it had all the kitchen amenities needed to feed a family of 7. Tara emailed several times before our arrival with info on powel river and the cottage and called the day we arrived to answer any questions and to ensure we have settled in. Would definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at Tara's cottage. The bay is beautiful to look at and was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the beach and ocean every day, making full use of the kayaks provided (bonus). The deck is large, great for enjoying the sunrise to sunset sunshine, spectacular views and breakfast/dinner. The house is comfortable and cozy, and has everything you need for your stay. Tara is a most welcoming host, and we enjoyed several of her recommendations for food and activities. Powell River is approx. 25 mins away and has a large variety of restaurants, shops and recreational spots. We had a memorable trip. Thanks Tara!

Our family of three has a great stay at Tara's cottage. Tara was super responsive to any questions and a great host! Our 2 1/2 year old loved the swings and big grassy lawn! We saw deer every morning and lots of geese and birds. The beach and kayaks are great and the house is really clean has everything you need. AC, Comfy beds, new fresh linens and towels for bath and beach are provided. You'll definitely want to bring proper aqua socks/water shoes to navigate the rocks, oysters, and squishy wet sand at low tide and you'll be set. We bought some at Walmart in town for $9 that were perfect! Only thing to add that might be an issue for some, but wasn't for us, is proximity to the bigger house that shares the property. If there were a large active outdoorsy group staying there it wouldn't be as quiet and private as the large shared lawn with lots of fun yard games is in front of the cottage deck. A quiet family that kept to themselves was there while we were. We never actually crossed paths and we spent most of our time outdoors swinging or enjoying the beach and warm water. Perfect for a relaxing family get away!

A perfect Sunshine Coast location. Gorgeous beach and beach house with Kayaks. Perfect to just hang out ocean front. Delicious ripe blackberries in August when we stayed. 25 min drive to Powell River... easy access for dinner after a lovely day ocean side. Close to the start of the Sunshine Coast Trail. Great for families with kids. Bunk beds are great.
