3 Moons Camp is set on 45 hectares/ 110 acres and borders Cania Gorge National Park. Onsite is 3 Moon Creek frontage with beautiful swimming locations, caves to explore and bush walks. Available accommodation is a large bell tent with queen size bed. There is also a fully kitted out “Bush Kitchen” with all the cooking and eating gear you require, BBQ, gas cookers, fridge and a “Bush Shower” with hot shower and composting toilet. All you need to bring is your food and clothes!

The space
Their is a Bell tents situated on the edge of rainforest and open grassland forest. There is a Queen mattress and 3 blankets, 3 pillows and 2 towels. Also, there is a small wood fired stove for heating and cooking on. The camp site is number 1.

The camping areas are private areas whereas the Bush Kitchen and Bush shower can be used by other guests and are communal areas.

This is Bush camping, so expect dirt, dust, mud if it’s wet, insects big and small, all sorts of animals, the tents are cleaned between each guest and linen changed and the bush kitchen and shower quickly cleaned. You will find dust, dirt, mould, etc around as this is an outdoor Bush camping experience. The area is hygienic but the areas only get used intermittently so don’t expect pristine clean and modern space, go to a motel if you want this. This is a no frill rustic, homely, comfortably camping experience that is very affordable.

The “Bush Kitchen” and all equipment contained in the area is up the track 150m from the bell tent and has a large Engel fridge, BBQ, gas cookers, camp ovens and all the cooking and eating gear you need. Also a campfire location to cook and boil the billy on. There is a caravan with spare mattresses and other gear that can be used, swimming gear etc. The kitchen sink has running water, detergent, tea towels etc.

The “Bush Shower” area is opposite the Bush Kitchen and down into the edge of the stream. A gas hot water shower and composting toilet is located in this area, soap is up at the bush kitchen and more toilet paper.

With a 20-150 metre walk to the 3 Moon Creek for swimming and exploring, also Cedar Creek meets the 3 Moon creek and is great for a walk or play in the sand. Also very close by are large sandstone caves (Grinding groove cave, that you can read about at the Cania Gorge Picnic area National Park signs) Dry Rainforest, sandstone cliffs and escarpments and much more to explore.

Guest access
Guest can access most parts of the property except the main sheds and barns which are up the track you drive in on and signed “Home Shed” these are private areas. Also, this is a working farm with vegetable growing areas and animals present these areas are seperate areas and should not be entered. There are currently 2 miniature ponies and a Standard Breed horse currently on the property in seperate electric fenced off areas. The horses can kick especially the small brown pony “Ned” he can get defensive is approached suddenly and can kick out unexpectedly.

Other things to note
We are a working Organic Farm with large vegetable growing areas, ponies and horses, tractors and equipment. Also, we are blessed with largely intact natural area with many types of venomous snakes, spiders etc, kangaroos, wallabies, also their are dingoes present (which you may here howling) wild pigs, stinging neetle and other plants. Please be mindful of all the plants and animals that are present within and surrounding your area. Also, tractors and other vehicles may be operating within the area.
