Our place is on the Island of South Uist next to beautiful Loch Bee. We have two double bedrooms next to a bathroom for your use. The Uist Machair is a World Heritage site and our beach is 25 miles long! There are daily ferry connections to the Isle of Skye and Oban, Argyll. Benbecula airport links to Glasgow and Stornoway using Flybe. There are hotels, cafes and shops within 5 miles which we can recommend. Askernish Golf Course is an 18 hole links course laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1896.

The space

Each bedroom has fully controllable electric heating and a built in wardrobe for your use. Both Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with one double bed and one king size bed. One room even has a piano! Prices are per room per night.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to make themselves at home and help themselves to the kitchen facilities and the lounge with Sky TV.

Interaction with guests

Libby and I are on hand to help with any queries and to advise on day trips and walks, dining out or just for a chat.

Other things to note

Bryan and his wife are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Their place is homely and laid-back. The pets are friendly and attentive - good for animal-lovers! We very much appreciated all the little snacks, toiletries, breakfast, and books about the area that were provided to peruse. Shower was a bit temperamental. Aside from that, it was a convenient and friendly place to stay for our stop-off through South Uist.

We arrived at Bryan's late after a rainy - gale of a ferry crossing. He had a wood-fire burning, and greeted us warmly with conversation and hospitality! The space is beautiful, and the kitchen is quite well-provisioned. We also enjoyed meeting Erin and Jack, the resident greyhounds, and Jess the feline queen! Highly recommended!

Bryan is so welcoming and we certainly felt at ease and at home. The room was all we needed and there was a little basket of snacks which was a nice gesture. It is a pet friendly house so bear that in mind if you don't like animals. The greyhound dogs were really friendly and well behaved and I spotted them first because we did struggle to see any house number and address in view. The cat has a bit of a split character. I slept very well. Bed is comfortable and it is extremely quiet - perfect for both of us. We were having difficulty with our connecting ferry and Bryan helped us and let us use his phone and just sat chatting over a nice cup of tea to pass time no rush for us to leave. I honestly felt I was in my own home. Really nice stay and the room was reflective of the price And we had our own use of a bbathroom. Thank you Bryan.

A friendly welcome. As a single traveller it was pleasing to have a good sized room with a double bed - and sole use of the bathroom. The road itself isn't the most appealing, but the outdoor delights of South Uist & Benbecula are right there.

We had a good stay with Bryan and Libby, we enjoyed talking with them and finding out more about the Outer Hebrides. Bryan advised us of a place to eat which was great and our bed was comfortable. We had our breakfast with Bryan, before heading off to the Isle Skye
