This flat, in downtown Paris (between Bastille and Nation) is located in an old and authentic area where traditional parisian life takes place : restaurants, small shops, bar, markets... Easily accessible, with more than 5 metro stops in the immediate area, makes it easy to come/go from train stations or airports, and to visit Paris once you have arrived. The building is more than one century old with well conserved architecture (stone wall, wooden floors and stairs - be careful : no elevator!). Welcome to your home away from home, a contemporary and artistically decorated flat in a charming old building!

I stayed at Ronan’s place for 10 days. The place is located close to RER, metro and buses. It is not super close to everything, but not too far. There are few grocery stores and restaurants walking distance from the place, there is a great farmers market about 15 minutes away. …

Second visit, as great as the first! Thanks to Ronan for the excellent communication. Lovely apartment with beautiful natural light, well decorated and very tidy.

This was a great little place. Nice touches, convenient, well cared for, comfortable, cute, and a great location. So convenient to the train station and square. The stairs are rough but it helps burn off all the great food to eat in the neighborhood. Excellent value.

Great location, close to Nation station which has multiple metro and rer lines. Not easy to do the multiple flights of stairs with our suitcases but we knew in advance and we were prepared. The pedestal fan was a must.

We had a fantastic 5 day stay in Ronan’s apartment. Clear instructions from Ronan on check-in, great location (safe, local feel and very accessible to major attractions) and perfect space for us to escape the craziness of daily sightseeing in Paris. A very authentic experience an…

Disappointing experience. We moved out two days early to a HotelTonight alternative for a similar price in a MUCH better location. 1. Dark stairwell - a weird and sort of dangerous experience walking up 5 flights without any light along the way. 2. Couch was sort of dirty and f…

Response from Ronan:
I appreciate my guests leaving comments (good and bad) and this is no exception. 1) As in a majority of apartment buildings in Europe, staircase lights are on a timer (approximately 2 minutes, more than enough time to walk up 20 steps). The lights are bright and the staircase is clean and well lit. You just need to push the light button. I can only assume that Christine was unable to figure out this simple system because I am unable to understand how anyone could find the staircase even remotely “dangerous”! So... 2) I definitely apologize if the couch wasn’t as tidy as it should have been and will touch base with my housekeeper to ensure this doesn’t happen again. 3) Only one of the 5 windows indeed doesn’t open and it’s normal. The window in the kitchen is blocked by the sink thus making it impossible to open, it’s the choice of the architect. 4) The mattress and pillows are new. It is unclear what Christine’s standards are, but all things considered it is perhaps best that she moved to a hotel which seems more suitable for her needs. 5) I honestly wasn’t aware that scissors (kitchen scissors? Paper scissors? Nails scissors?) were considered a travel essential (I have personally never needed any while traveling) but am happy to add a pair if this can facilitate future guests stay. Perhaps I should consider other office supplies - envelopes, highlighters, a stapler? 6) Parisian apartments are pretty small so a small bathroom actually isn’t that surprising. 7) The apartment is in the 11th arrondissement. This is clearly marked in the announcement. By any Parisian standard, the 11th district is central and has many, many interesting things to see and do within walking distance or a short metro or bus ride. 8) The heat works in the entire apartment. It was 80 degrees fahrenheit outside when Christine was here. Also with regards to the AC, please note that a majority of Parisian homeowner associations forbid the installation of air conditioners. This is in no way unique to my apartment. If air conditioning was indeed available, it would have been clearly indicated in the announcement. Christine should have been more vigilant on this point if she required air conditioning. I take pride in renting out this apartment and strive for a great experience for all. Seeing some of these comments is frustrating because a vast majority of my guests have an excellent experience. I suppose there are always high maintenance guests like Christine to take I to considération. Good learning lesson.

The apartment is very accurate to the pictures; it's clean, well decorated and the size is identical to the pictures. The host provides clear instructions to the utilities however the check in process is not very clear, as the instructions don't specify that the apartment is on t…
