The same alley a few meters further down is the House where Ismail Kadare was born and awarded with the Nobel Laureate for literature. Nearby Ismail Kadare’s home, the house of Dictator Enver Xoxha is located.

Andreases parents and his grandmother are very welcoming and and sweet. The house is located in a traditional Gjirokastra street and and the balcony has a great view of the old and new part of the city. Overall good experience with the hosts however if you are looking for priva…

Das Zimmer lag in einem sehr schönen alten Steinhaus. Die Familie, die den oberen Stock bewohnt, war sehr freundlich. Gjirokaster ist eine wunderschöne Stadt, die man von hier aus gut zu Fuß erkunden kann.
