Outside...enjoy amazing sunrises over the lake... flower gardens around the house...birds that come to the feeders, and the purple martins (hopefully) in the summer. Inside... there are comfortable beds, fluffy towels, a dining area that seats 6-8, and a fully equipped kitchen ready to prepare meals.
Our Airbnb is an apartment with a private entrance in the lower level of our home. It is open and spacious with a view of the lake. It has large windows and there's lots of sunlight. It is very clean.
There are two patios, one covered and one with a fire-pit and ample wood.
The space has a kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen has a side-by-side refrigerator with water and ice, dishwasher and smooth top range. It has a coffee maker, toaster oven, hand mixer, blender, 18-10 stainless cookware, bakeware, serving dishes, storage containers, table settings for at least 12, and the list goes on. If there is anything additional you may need, let me know and hopefully we have it.
We have a baby crib and a highchair if you have little ones.
There’s a tub with a shower in the bathroom. The towels and washcloths are thick & fluffy. Shower gel and hand soap are provided. The bathroom is huge! Works great as a dressing room.
A DVD player is on top of the TV. We only have the basic cable channels but we have many family friendly movies upstairs that you are welcome to watch.
The binder on the table has the cable channels listed, wifi passwords, local restaurants, things to do in the area, and the house rules.
The 3rd bedroom includes two twin beds. It is not as bright as the rest of the area as the room adjoins my photo studio. I am working on the decor and will put up photos when completed.
There is an ironing board and iron. If you are staying more than a week, we have a washer and dryer upstairs.
Very important note here! If there is very bad weather and/or the sirens go off, we will be joining you on the lower level!
We have a private entrance to the apartment. There will be a lighted pathway to walk around the house and come in through the patio doors. (I think it’s pretty.)
We will allow you to drive down to the Airbnb entrance to unpack, pack, unload groceries, etc, but you may not park there. There is blacktop parking space in the driveway for you.
If it’s raining/bad weather, we provide a key to come in through the house on the upper level.
Interaction with guests
We look forward to meeting all of our guests. We are open to sharing a bottle of wine or preparing a meal together. If you would like to come along to our favorite haunts, we would love to have you join us. If you have children, our grandchildren have enjoyed playing with our guest's children when they are here.
Other things to note
Things to bring as they are not provided
Bottled water if you desire (We drink our water - it's very good!)
Makeup towelettes if you wear makeup
Always ask before building a fire in the firepit. When the weather is perfect, we open the windows. The firepit smoke fills the house.

When in doubt…just ask. We are pretty easy. Thank you for respecting our rules.
I love quiet mornings and sharing my coffee with the sunrise. Some mornings…if anyone was looking, might see me out on the bank taking pictures of the first glimpse of the morning sky over the lake.
I have wanted to raise purple martins for along time. (Purple Martins are swallows that live in those birdhouses far up on post with lots of openings for many birds.) My martin house was put up 2 years ago and we had visitors but no permanent dwellers. It usually takes several years to get birds. I’m sure this is the spring they will finally move in…and I’m so excited about that.
Ron & I have been married for 40 years. He had a stroke about 5 months ago. It was the scariest thing that we have ever been through. His recovery has been remarkable, but it has been a very very slow process. His determination and attitude have made his recovery better than I ever thought possible. I am still in awe. He recently was able to go back to work.
My loves are landscaping, flower gardening, home design, collecting & polishing rocks, feeding birds, attempting to raise purple martins, photography, & many other creative endeavors. I was the do-it-yourself girl on a local TV channel last year. I had been working on a book that follows my father's footsteps through WWII and the Korean War and need to get serious again about finishing it. My newest venture is making mosaic birdbaths from glass plates.
We have put all my energy and a great deal of thought into this ‘bnb. We hope you are very happy with your stay here. The beds are very awesome, the towels are thick and wonderfully soft and the kitchen is fully equipped.
You are welcome here and we look forward to meeting you.
