Total privacy + central heat & a/c - the entire home to yourselves.

Modern & minimal, this iconic architectural oasis is a 1964 Rummer home, but with all the modern conveniences - the perfect retreat from a day of urban exploring, or a great backdrop for special events or offsites.

The home is very private, decorated in a modern eclectic fashion with an overall minimal aesthetic.

Approx 15 mins to Portland, close to the Nike and Intel HQ's, this home is within close proximity to everything.

The space

This home was built by Robert Rummer in 1964 & has been maintained architecturally with an indoor atrium garden / sitting area as well as open beam ceilings. However, the kitchen and bath areas are very modern and clean with stainless fixtures, white granite counters, and tile & glass walk-in showers.

This house is made to entertain - whether it be a cozy evening in, or a dinner at the custom built dining table. The dining and living areas are open, and the kitchen has a five-burner gas range on an island making cooking feel like you're on your own cooking show. Let me know in advance if you are planning an event and how many people you are expecting. No groups over 6 people please - If you would like to reserve the house for something more specific, like an offsite or special dinner/event, please let me know and we can discuss. There may be an extra set up and cleaning fee depending on the event. :)

The great thing about this house is the natural light and peaceful quality. You are in another world here whether you cozy up by the fireplace or sit in the atrium listing to music.

I love this house and hope you do as well!

All of my dishes, glassware, and serveware have been carefully collected over time ranging from vintage plates to ceramics made by local designers.

There is a tv with basic cable and Apple tv in the master bedroom, however, if you'd prefer the tv in the living room to use it as a screen for offsite presentations, I can move it to the common area.

If you decide to visit over the holidays, the house has a 7' Noble Fir tree with lights & smells so lovely.

The house is conveniently located near the 217, and is 1 mile to Washington Square Mall, 15min to downtown Portland, quick drive to Intel and Nike campuses.

The house is beautiful and in a very convenient location. You can be in downtown Portland in just a few minutes and there are great grocery stores and a Target nearby. The home is very comfortable and even has a cool juicer! It rained while we were there, and it’s the kind of house where the rain sounds so nice on the roof. The atrium is such a neat home feature, and the floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the beautiful backyard made the house feel like a special getaway.

What an elegant house, lovingly designed and cared for! High points for me: the floor to ceiling windows, open floor plan, amazing covered atrium/entry, great big dining table, comfortable bed, private back yard, modern kitchen, immaculate shower, efficient central heating, and of course Tina, the thoughtful and communicative host. Location was great— easy freeway access but totally quiet neighborhood. There is a neighboring park and the neighborhood is clean and quiet, great for walks. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

This was the coolest house we've ever stayed at. The aesthetic was spot on and elegant, not overdone. Tina was also an amazing host; she gave great recommendations and responded to any questions we had quickly. When we visit Oregon again, Tina's place will defiantly be where we stay.

Staying at Tina's home for a week was a unique experience. I never heard of Robert Rummer before, but after staying in this house I read all about him. The house has open plan with floor to selling glass . It feels like you are living in the forest. Beautiful green and wooded yard. The house is very well equipped and located in the very quiet neighborhood, in the same time it has very easy and convenient access to the freeway. I would definitely recommend Tina 's place.
