A perfect place for eco-tourists and bird enthusiasts looking for a relaxing spot to explore the northern range on foot from. We are situated at the base of El Tucuche, fabled in Amerindian lore as a sacred mountain.
The studio is large and comfortable with good views and perfectly located for guests seeking to explore the island. The apartment also has a projector system with Netflix.

The space
This spacious, newly-built apartment has a large kitchen/dining/living/bedroom space perfectly suited for cooking, relaxing, and sleeping. The apartment is entirely self-contained with your own bathroom.

My parents live with me in the house above, but the acoustics and layout of the site means you can feel free to play music and speak freely without worrying about disturbing us or the neighbours.

The bedroom is on a platform raised from the ground level and connected to the kitchen/living area. The bed has a comfy mattress with good quality topper and bed linens.

The living/kitchen area is a great place to relax. The sofa can be folded out to make a sofa-bed which is about the size of a double mattress and could potentially accommodate two people - please be in touch in advance if you want to use the space for more than 3 people.

There is a PS4 and projector in the living are which projects a massive screen onto the wall. There are 4 pairs of 3D glasses and a small selection of 3D and 2D Blu-rays/DVDs, and Netflix should you want to watch anything. There are also some PS4 games.

The kitchen is very well equipped. If there is something specific you will need for the kitchen, the chances are you can ask for it and I will have it upstairs for you to borrow for your stay, just let me know.

In the heart of the Maracas Valley, the neighbourhood boasts one of the islands best preserved Cocoa estate houses: Ortinola. The estate has monthly tours but private tours can also be arranged (if interested contact me before your stay so it can be sorted in advance).

We are near to easy hikes such as to Maracas Waterfalls and Acono Waterfall/Basin and more challenging ones through the northern range to the El Tucuche peak, Habio Falls, Yarra River, Caura Valley and the very special Amerindian Petroglyphs. For an easy trip out we are also near to the Yerette Hummingbird watch.

Some messages I have been sent from potential guests seem to indicate that the map hasn't displayed. However, if it does display, you will notice that the apartment's location is in Maracas Valley (Acono Road) and so the journey to Maracas Bay involves driving on Saddle Road, through Santa Cruz, to get to North Coast Road - from front door to the Maracas Bay beach is 50-60 minutes.

But as I am living just upstairs, I'm very happy to chat about things you can do around Trinidad, give tips on anything from getting groceries to setting up a local SIM card, potentially be available sometimes if you'd like a trail guide (arranged beforehand), or would just like to socialise.
