We follow CDC sanitation. Private suite on own floor that sleeps 1-6 people per reservation in a great neighborhood full of large trees. Queen bedroom is private and full/twin has privacy curtain around it. Large living space and private bathroom. Close to Chattahoochee trails, playground, dog parks, great restaurants and grocery stores. Quick drive to what Atlanta has to offer - museums, sports, parks, world-class restaurants and nightclubs, and historic spots. Other info lists pet rules.

The space
We are a great overnight stop for those travelling on I-75 as well as a great location for your Atlanta vacation! We are only 5 miles from Suntrust Park, and a 15-20 minute drive to Georgia World Congress Center, Mercedes Benz Stadium, Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, just to name a few of the great places to go in Hotlanta!!

The private suite is located in the daylight basement (which is ground level). Queen bedroom is behind French doors with a 3" memory foam top, nightstands with drawers, and small closet. The bath is a full bath with elongated toilet. Shower stall has hand held shower head. The living room has a small refrigerator, microwave, Roku TV with Dish, sleeper sofa, and recliner. The full size trundle bed has a 3" memory foam topper and a privacy curtain. THe twin trundle slides under the full size bed. The sofa converts to a bed, and is a great option for late night TV watchers. All of our towels and sheets are in excellent condition that we would use ourselves. We have cats upstairs but are never allowed in the space, period! There is an electronic whole house air filter, and most people with cat allergies experience no symptoms, but pack allergy meds just in case. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen upstairs in our living area anytime, and able to keep items in the garage refrigerator. The upstairs washer and dryer is available to guests also, with all laundry supplies included.

NOTE: We have our space listed as "entire home" because AirBnB does not have a earch option for a private suite with a private bathroom unless you list "entire house." I'm sorry if this is a problem.

We greet all guest upon arrival. Key is used to access the suite. Guests are welcome to enter our living space upstairs to use our kitchen and laundry room. We do not enter the suite unless invited (we go out the front door to access the garage).

Other things to note
PET INFORMATION: Overnight pets are welcome without restrictions. Reservations for 2 or more nights are not permitted to leave dogs alone for over two hours. Our suite is not a free kennel. Inexpensive pet sitting that includes walks, feeding, and playing is offered if you cannot bring your dog with you all day. This is non-negotiable. We love animals but nearly every dog barks or cries when alone in a strange place and especially if they hear us upstairs. No seriously, nearly 100% of the time this happens even when owners tell us it will not happen, and it breaks my heart to hear dogs cry for hours and not be able to do anything. Yes, this has happened, and is why we chose to offer inexpensive pet sitting instead of not allowing pets.

Location

Marietta, Georgia, United States

The neighborhood is an older neighborhood full of tall trees, close to Truest Park, Chattahoochee National Park. a wide variety of restaurants, movie theaters, shopping, the Galleria, and the Cumberland Mall. This neighborhood has been used to film TV show and movies. The house is located on a cul-de-sac in the back of the subdivision, so there is hardly any traffic. Neighborhood is safe to walk or run in alone or with your furry friend. Publix and Kroger is only about a mile away. We are about 4 miles from Dobbins ARB, so this would be a great place for someone to stay while on TDY. The dog-friendly Marietta Square is only 8 miles away, and has many great restaurants and shops. The Sope Creek part of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area is 3 miles away and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield is about 13 miles away. Both are accessible with a National Park Pass, which we have available for guests to borrow. We also have a Georgia Park Pass available for guests to borrow. Red Top Mountain is only 30 minutes north of us and has boats to rent, fishing, great trails, and swimming beaches. Terrell Mill Park is only a mile away and has a soccer field, baseball fields, and a covered picnic area, and a large playground with a rubber ground. Wildwood Park is the closest dog park at about 6 miles away and has running trails. Midtown and Downtown Atlanta are a short drive, even in traffic, because we will tell you the short cuts. Both of us attended Georgia Tech and I drove for Lyft and Uber for a while, so despite being in the suburbs we know that area. We keep a folder full of restaurant menus and area maps in the living room, and we keep up with the latest and greatest hot spots in the metro area.

Hello! I am a South Jersey transplant that ended up in Georgia after a four year enlistment in the US Air Force. I am a Desert Storm vet, and I have lived in the Philippines and Okinawa. I try to be a positive force in the world and do my best to treat everyone with respect and spread happiness. My grandfather came to this country from Italy, and I enjoy making dishes that I watched him make for my friends. My husband and I are into craft beer and enjoy a glass of wine every now and then. I am an avid crocheter, and I volunteer my time making items for charity and maintaining the guild webpage. Another hobby is taking photos of graves for people tracing their genealogy, through the website "Find a Grave." I also volunteer as a veteran's advocate, and spend my time connecting with veterans (mostly women) who need help. My husband and I spend Saturdays managing an extreme running club (on-on!), but I can stay home if needed. I am also a big sports fan, especially College Football & Basketball, Hockey, and Racing. Our house is simple but we treat guests like family. While you are here our home is your home too. We have had many people stay at our house before we put it on AirBNB and we got nothing but rave reviews about how we spoil our guests. I hope to meet you soon!
