This is a beautiful, convenient, well maintained, and charming home. We were so amazed to be in a quiet, peaceful setting--yet still have wireless and a land line available. If we are staying in the area again, we will definitely rent this home.

If you're looking for a good place to stay in the desert mountains, this is right up your alley. It's definitely off the beaten path, but it was surprisingly a lot easier to get to than expected. As for the property itself, the ranch is everything that was expected and then some. It's a little old-fashioned, but I enjoyed staying there. Lots of dishes to use, movies to watch, places to hang hammocks outside, etc. I'd stay again if I were in the area.

This was a great base for exploring the area. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We would absolutely stay again.

I've been in love with travel since a teenager. I've traveled extensively in Bali and Mexico; as well as Belize, Nicaragua, Ireland, Scotland and France. Books always travel with me; among my favorites: West with the Night, All the Light We Cannot See, anything by Jon Krakauer. I try to lodge in family compounds rather than large hotels as the local culture fascinates me. My husband, Charlie, and I chose Stanley for the beauty and outdoor life.
