I was in Wye Mills to attend a seminar at Chesapeake College which is almost within walking distance. I only needed a place for one night and I arrived in the late afternoon and left in the early morning. The accommodations were perfect for me. Adequate, functional, clean, complete and without excessive air freshener. The second floor efficiency flat (above the garage) had everything. Full kitchen, crock pot, toaster, adequate dishes, pots, pans, washer, dryer, ice maker in the fridge, bath tub with shower, two full beds and one single bed and TV. Plenty of fresh clean linens and towels that were NOT saturated with fabric softener. Out the front door at the bottom of the steps was a small overhang porch with chairs, tables, BBQ. A quiet Maryland Eastern Shore experience with woods, pasture and a lake nearby. The lake nearby offers fishing, canoeing, kayaking or viewing while relaxing. If you do bring your canoe or kayak there are multiple opportunities nearby. I know the area well, as a young boy we would visit the famous Wye Oak which has since seen it demise but there is still a park there explain the history. And of course there is the historic Wye Mills.
This is a great location for a couple or a couple with a child or two.
St Michaels is nearby, Easton is nearby and it on the way to Ocean City MD, Bethany Beach DE, Rehoboth Beach DE or the Cape May-Lewis Ferry to historical sightseeing in Cape May NJ
