A great place to have a large gathering. Plenty of room and great individual areas to do different things

The house is much bigger than the pictures lead on to believe. Really close to the lake.

Beds are like sleeping on the floor or in a sponge. Depending on witch one you pick.

Response from John:
There are 12 beds and every one has a different firmness just like every person has a different preference on their firmness. I apologize, Our house keeper may not have checked the coffee pot, it's rarely out since most people always use the Keurig.

I'm a stay at home mom of four who wanted to get out with a few other mom friends for s little relaxation away from the city. There were ten people, including an 8- and 6-year-old and two babies, plus four women. We all had our own space and bedroom, each of which was really comfortable. The kids loved the moon tower and foosball table and board games. The best part was there was room for everyone to have their own space. It was perfectly secluded by trees and felt like the woods, not a small neighborhood by the lake. We would stay here again. John was great when I needed to add people at the last minute and was available through text when I needed him.

The biggest issue with the rental was the fact that the house had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. When we arrived at our arranged time, the home was in complete disarray. The beds were unmade and in the state the previous guests had left them, carpets and floors were dirty, trashes were full and restrooms were not clean. After several attempts, we were able to contact the host who stated they rarely had back to back renters and they were under the impression the house had been cleaned. They contacted cleaning crew. The cleaning crew arrived and did basic cleaning to allow our party to settle in. The cleaning was supposed to be a 7 hour process, according to John, and it was quickly accomplished in less than 2 hours. This made everyone even more uneasy about the cleanliness of the home, which already looked like it hadn't ever been deep cleaned. The hosts originally offered to pay for dinner while the home was cleaned, which we felt was not an appropriate response, but after some discussion, they did refund the first evening and were apologetic about the inconvenience. We had never had an issue with any other Airbnb property and we were very disappointed that this was how our much anticipated family vacation started. There was a lack of communication on the hosts part with the cleaning crew to ensure the home was clean before arrival, but also lack of communication with guests when communicating changes. Dainen sent a message stating the roofers would be there on Saturday to assess things after a storm, but they arrived Friday morning instead. There was no call or message letting us know they would be there a day early. They walked through the house, including bedrooms that were occupied by sleeping guests and everyone in the house had to be woken up to let them enter all the rooms and inspect for damage. We understand things change, but it would have been a courtesy to let the people renting the home know that there was a change in plans by simply sending us a message or making a phone call. It wasn't the restful, stress-free weekend my family had anticipated but we managed to make the best of it.

Response from John:
We've all shown up at hotels and tried to check in early to find out the rooms have not been cleaned yet as happened during this rental. After the request to cancel or reschedule her reservation a few days prior, this rental just didn't go very smooth from then on. We tried hard to make them happy but with the person who booked the reservation not even being there on site it was tough. When Dainen arrived he wasn't even sure who was the responsible party for the rental since no one seemed to meet the minimum age of 25 as required. This rental just wasn't a great match for either party this time.

This house is perfect for families. Our family had a great time staying here. Traveling with 4 kids isn't easy, but allowing them the space to play made it great!

I am a YMCA flag football coach, business owner and cub scout den leader with 15 8 yr old boys in our den. We love heading to Lake Whitney on the weekends but when we can't make it there we would love other families to have great experiences at the MoonTower.
