Boutique modern with a touch of history. Our lovely little cottage is about 200 years old. It's cosy and slap bang in the middle of some of the best scenery the UK has to offer. Excellent for walking, cycling, pot holing or simply site seeing the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Castleton is such a pretty little town with it's own castle, 6 pubs, fabulous restaurants and delightful cafes. We are situated between Bakewell and Buxton, Sheffield is 16 miles away.
Our cottage is typical of the area, however, we have renovated it to a very high standard. You will have all the mod cons required these days with the feeling of living in a historical building. My back ground is tourism so I know what you want when staying away from home. This is a cosy little place and from the outside looks quite small, but inside the rooms are moderate in size, perfect for up to four people, 2-3 dogs depending on their size. Crates, dog blankets and towels are available on request at no extra charge. We want Fido to have a lovely holiday too!
You are hiring the entire cottage, with total privacy. A key is supplied so that you can come and go at your own times. Currently there is no access from the back of the building with no rear garden.
Interaction with guests
We live around the corner and you shall have my mobile number. I love this area so would be more than happy to advise on where to go, or take you out for walks and show you our beautiful countryside. I can be available as much as you would like.
Other things to note
Throughout the year there are festivities going on in the area. Summer shows, Christmas carols in the caves. Just email me and I can tell you what is happening when you are thinking of visiting.
No dogs allowed up stairs at any time.
Fun, love the area I live in, passionate about local business and local products. Pet hates, people that dismiss things before trying them, like food or experiences. Love, love, love my English Springer Spaniels Minnie, Macy and Flea. And of course I love my husband!
