From our charming carriage house, walk to the shops of downtown Comox, the Filberg, superb restaurants, Goose Spit, and walking trails. Or you may want to drive to the mountain which is 40 minutes away. Located at the end of a quiet cul de sac, Comox Harbour and Harbour Air are a short walk away. This location will not disappoint! During the summer months, borrow our beach toys and paddle away in the inner harbour. We look forward to being your hosts as you experience the Comox Valley.
Breakfast basics are provided. Have a look in the fridge to see what awaits! We hope you enjoy the comfort of the queen size bed and if an extra guest stays over, the sectional couch pulls out to offer a platform bed. We know you'll enjoy the heated tile floor in the bathroom and the quality linens (btw ~ duvet cover and shams are freshly washed for each new guest).
Arrive and stay in privacy or ring the front door bell to meet your hosts, Darcy and Carol.
The entrance to the carriage house is via the vaulted breezeway which separates the main house from the carriage house. There is a flight of stairs with 16 steps into the suite, so please take this into account when booking.
A 4 digit code will be provided for you so you can come and go as you like using the personalized keyless entry code.
A public walkway to the beach is located beside our neighbour's house.
Interaction with guests
My husband Darcy, is newly retired and will be happy to help you out during your stay. We're home many evenings and most weekends and are happy to answer any questions you may have about our lovely area.
Other things to note
We have lots of basic kayaks that we are more than happy to share with guests during the summer months. Lifejackets are a must! There's a ramp in our front garden that leads to the beach so you won't have to carry them far. We LOVE kayaking over to the tip of Goose Spit which is referred to locally as, "Little Mexico!" Or if you like to look at beach front properties, paddle along the shore and check out real estate from an ocean perspective!
We live among wonderful neighbours on a quiet street. All's quiet here by 10 pm. We appreciate your efforts to respect this request. No parties please. Our suite sleeps two in privacy. A sofa offers a platform bed for two more guests. Four is the maximum.
From Jun 23 - Sep 4, 2018 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
I am a teacher in the Comox Valley. My newly retired husband, Darcy, and I just moved from Courtenay to Comox into our lovely, new home in a location we adore! While Darcy is a triathlete who aspires to swim, bike, and run quickly, I'm content to walk or jog slowly! We love walking the trails around this area and often walk to Goose Spit, climb the stairs (they're steep!), and walk through the forested trails.
