Very nice isolated location, right on the beach and next to the jungle. We stayed in our own chalet on the beach, it was simple but clean with a private bathroom (toilet and shower). And of course, we had our own hammock. We did jungle walks (saw monkeys, a mouse deer and a porcupine!) to a waterfall that you could shower in, played some beach volley ball and also did some snorkeling. But mainly we were at the beach where we read books, swam and chilled out. The staff was friendly with lots of humor!

The Nipah is an authentic local place, located an quite and peaceful beach. Everything was there, front beach house, private 100+ m beach, late night fire on the beach, ... Abbas, the host, will always try to sort things out for you, ride to other villages, activities, ... I wish I could have stayed longer ...

A peaceful and quiet place to stay. Especially when theres no internet or any phone service which made me feel alive and start to interact more with other people like the old days. The host will treat you as family and take good care of you. I feel like home but with a good view. I'll be back next year. Hope to see you again Abas and family, not forgetting Marco and Dominic too

If you have the fortune to go to Malaysia you must go to the tioman island and stay at The Nipah. I have travelled all my life and longed for a world where time stands still. The food is simple made with love only local ingredients .The cabins are simple but clean and decorated with shells driftwood and coral. Fresh water waterfalls jungle backdrop to the finest empty beach. Just go.

Most definitely the best experience I've had staying at an airbnb till now. Abbas was super friendly and helpful and he's a great cook! He will also remind you of Mowgli if you let him take you discovering the nearby wild forest and waterfall. He's a great host who did everything to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. The place is just incredible and it was everything I was looking for to spend a quiet lonely day. I've already recommended others to visit Nipah because it's worth all the trouble getting there. Love it!
