The studio is on the ground floor of a stone barn in the courtyard of the main house. It leads onto a private courtyard. There is a tennis court available.

The space

The Stone Barn Studio is part of the Ampney Park Estate, a Grade II listed Jacobean Manor and buildings next to the Church of the Holy Rood parts of which are 1000 years old. Situated in 17 acres of parkland and gardens and a working Equestrian business, this is a newly renovated and charming guest accommodation.

Guest access

Wonderful walks and a pub/restaurant about 5 mins walk away. Located near the Cotswold Water Park where there is carp and trout fishing, water skiing including a cable ski, a beach, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing. Lots of great gastropubs in the area.

If you are here on a Monday evening between 8 & 9pm You will have the opportunity to watch the bell-ringers as they strive to learn the ancient art of campanology on the Church's bells, some which were cast in the 17th century.

Interaction with guests

Family are often around, also the 2 corgi dogs are always looking for a pat or play.

Other things to note

The kitchen area is really small with a small sink and a fridge, really just suitable for a light breakfast. There is a microwave, toaster, hotplate and kettle.

This place was phenomenal! Beautiful style, elegant amenities, and luxurious seclusion all hit high marks. Up front communication and direction from Angela and Florina was clear and concise, which was much appreciated. We had a minor issue finding the entrance only because we didn't realize the driveway up to the gate was so long and our navigation system tried to send us down the village road instead. The written directions we were originally sent cleared things up in a jiff. Florina and the sweetest pair of corgis welcomed us when we arrived and Florina walked us through the house. Everything was impeccably thought out from the information packet and dining recommendations to the provided toiletries and foodstuffs. There was even a lovely array of fresh cut flowers about! We definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds. You get the best of both worlds: an oasis of peace and quiet that is only minutes away from the center of Cirencester. We can't wait for our next trip!

A lovely place to stay, stunning location, beautiful house and grounds. The barn it's self was perfect, comfortable, space enough for 2 and we had all we needed whilst there. The Cotswolds are stunning, places like Bourton on the water and Morton in marsh were particularly nice to visit. A great place to go and relax. My only criticism is that it was advertised as having wifi but in the barn we could not pick up the signal and due to no phone signal it meant we couldn't look up things to do in the local area unless we went outside to get phone signal or get the wifi signal. We still loved our stay but for anyone dependent on their phones/laptops etc this may be a problem.

Dear Rob, we are sorry that you had trouble  with the internet connection. Why didn't you mention it to us? We have optic fibre and a very good connection and could have easily sorted your problem. The internet is working here all the time as we all need to use it. We hope we will host you again and we'll make sure that you have the right connection.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Stunning private property with lots of outdoor space. The apartment was clean and cosy. It was nice to wake up with bird song and being greeted by the corgis every time we went out. Thank you for having us!

Fantastic, clean accommodation in absolutely amazing grounds. Angela and Simon were very welcoming (as were the two corgis) and made some great recommendations as to what to see and where to eat. Would definitely recommend this accommodation!
