Dunkeld Cottage is a chocolate box style cottage within easy reach of the Lake District and is nestled at the foot of the Pennines! The cottage features stunning beams and original period features throughout, with everything thought of to make your stay a comfortable, relaxing one! The cottage dates back to 1820 and yet has been extremely well maintained and looked after - with all the mod cons! The kitchen/breakfast room is particularly lovely and has pretty views over the garden and is very spacious. All of the appliances you could need are here - including integral dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and of course a hob and double oven. There is a spacious and cosy lounge/dining room which features a truly amazing fireplace, beamed ceilings throughout, comfy sofas, TV with numerous digital channels, WiFi, and a desk with leaflets on the local area and further seating. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, again, boasting glorious beams throughout and are very charming. The master bedroom features a superking bed - or it can be turned into two single beds - ideal for families. The second bedroom has a double bed and both bedrooms have plenty of storage for your clothes and personal items. There is also a bathroom with a bath - ideal for a bubbly soaking after a long Lake District walk! The garden is fully enclosed and private and there is plenty of room for you to bring your bikes - and probably anything else like a canoe etc.. - just ask us! We love the fact that Ullswater is around a 15 minute scenic drive from the cottage - but equally, the Pennines are the backdrop of the cottage, and if you want to head away from the crowds that can sometimes gather in the summer, then a delightful stroll around Pennine country may be just what you need! Likewise, Keswick is only a relatively short, scenic drive away - we recommend a boat trip, a hike up the famous Cat Bells, followed by a pub lunch or dinner in the fantastic town centre. There's so much to do - you'll need to keep coming back to do more! :)
Full and uninterrupted access of the cottage.
Interaction with guests
We want guests to feel that Dunkeld Cottage is theirs for the week - so we don't interrupt people at all - other than for any urgent maintenance. We are here if you want to ask any questions or need help, but if not, just enjoy your holiday undisturbed! You will get given a specific key code for your stay - that way you can arrive whatever time suits you, without having to meet anyone :)

Hi, I'm Chloe Hibberd and with my husband Simon, we are lucky enough to be able to rent out some cottages in the Lake District area and also a villa in Javea, Spain. We have really worked hard to make our properties very special for your holiday - we pride ourselves on making them very well equipped and also provide plenty of information to ensure you make the most of your holiday. In the properties you will find lots of great ideas for days out - whether you love walking, touring, sight-seeing - or just cosying up in a cottage. We absolutely love staying in them too, so we want to make them the very best! Please do let me know if you have any questions at all - I love to help, holidays are my passion! :) Chloe x
