The space
The island of Fogo is reached by the domestic airline Bestfly. Online Instant Bookings of flights between the international airport in the capital Praia and Fogo can be found at "bestflycaboverde".
The island of Fogo is also served by a ferry from Praia. Tickets at "cvinterilhas".
Apartment S is located on the ground floor of the guest house "Som do Mar" centrally in the historic center of São Filipe and directly above the beach Fonte Bila. It is one of three fully furnished apartments, which are used there as holiday apartments or for long-term rent.
The kitchen is fully equipped, a bakery is in close proximity and grocery stores and markets are less than 300m away.
Apartment S is about 40m² and consists of a hallway, bedroom, living room and bathroom. The bedroom has two single beds, a fan and a built-in wardrobe with a safe for valuables. In the bathroom there is a shower with hot water.
In the living room there is a sofa bed that can easily be converted into a bed - convenient if you are traveling with a child. In addition, a kitchenette with fridge, sink, a two-burner gas cooker and all the necessary dishes.
The TV has a USB input. So you can bring a USB stick with your favorite movies.
In the house also a washing machine is available and there is WiFi on the terraces and in the courtyard.
The apartment is adjacent to the partially covered courtyard which is equipped with a dining table. On the upper floor of the house is a large terrace with table and benches, many plants and a wide view down to the beach and to the neighboring island of Brava.
One floor up there is a sun terrace with two loungers, a bistro table and there you have a beautiful view not only over the Atlantic, but also over the rooftops of São Filipe.
The service of the house includes the provision and the weekly change of beddings and hand and tea towels. All rooms are cleaned once a week by neighbor Maria. For a cleaning in between brooms, dustpan, bucket and mop are available in the courtyard.
Caretaker Galileu takes care of the courtyard and terraces, taking care of the numerous plants. He lives in the front part of the house.
