The Nature Resort is a wonderful place to stay! We had a group of 14 friends and all the rooms we rented were fantastic, clean, and comfortable. The property is remote but in a perfect location to reach many of the inland activities. Roy was responsive to questions, provided good directions to reach the property, and helped us set up several tours for our time there. We did the nature walk to see Howler Monkeys up close (they were very close) and a trip to see Mayan ruins at Altun Ha. Both tours and the guides were great. The resort offers many more tours as well. If you stay here do yourself a favor and take advantage of eating your meals at the resort. Marcelana was an amazing host and great cook, providing us with lots of chances to enjoy local food. She went above and beyond to make sure we were all full and happy even staying up late to serve beers and chat. Marcelana made us feel like we were staying with family and we would all love to go back for another vacation. On the day we left for Caye Caulker at 6:00AM she woke up at 5:30 to say goodbye and give us coffee. The Nature Resort is a fantastic experience and even better people!

This place is amazing! If you're looking for an opportunity to truly experience Belize from a local's perspective, this is the way to go. Roy is very knowledgeable and accommodating. And, his family and staff are just as wonderful as he is.

I was borne and lived all my life on this family property that shares the same parking lot with the Community Baboon Sanctuary I have been an educator for more than 30 years in Belize at the primary and tertiary levels. I love plants and am promoting organically grown fruits and vegetables. I love to put a smile on people face. We have some lovely cabanas and offer very interesting and exciting nature tours.
I love to show my guests our local wildlife (monkeys, bush rabbits, birds, etc.), Mayan ruins, and our horses. My favorite places to visit include the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Belize Barrier Reef and the Belize Rain Forest.
