The space

One bedroom apartment with a large bright sitting room with floor to ceiling windows onto a balcony over looking the Kingsland Basin. It is bright, clean and quiet and has everything you need: a washing machine, bath tub, shower, two balconies, HiFi, WiFi, and a comfy double bed in the bedroom.

It's perfect for a busy individual or couple.

It's in a great location in the buzzing, trendy East End and right on Regents canal which has loads of cute cafes, wine bars and restaurants that have sprouted along the walkway, literally outside the flat. Broadway market with its cafés and boutiques and Saturday market is just a short walk along the canal, and Sunday's flower market at Columbia Road is also close by. The flat is also right between the city's coolest nightlife and shops in Dalston and Shoreditch; and Brick Lane and Spitalifields are close by.

It's 15-minute walk along the canal to Broadway Market, 10 minutes to Columbia Road, 20 to Old Street, 15 to Dalston, 20 to Brick Lane. West along the canal, you can get to Angel in 30 mins. London Fields park is the other end of Broadway market, in which you'll find the open-air swimming pool, the London Fields Lido, which is amazing in summer – though it's heated all year round and popular even in January.

As far as transport goes, Haggerston Overground station, which links with the underground network is a 5 minute walk, it's a 25-minute walk to Liverpool Street tube and rail station (less than 10 minutes on the bus); and there are frequent buses from the Kingsland road that take you straight into the centre of London in just over 30 minutes.

The apartment was beautiful, and the decor reminded us of our home. The location was great, easy walking distance or a short aboveground ride to Dalston or Shoreditch. The view off the balcony was lovely, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The pub, Duke's at the end of the …

I loved staying at Kate's place during my time in London. She was very helpful throughout my whole stay there. I had to work over Easter weekend, and she helped walk me through a lost internet connection! I was so grateful for that. Her flat is very close to transportation, g…

I'm all about beautiful surrounds.. Can't concentrate unless the space I'm in is tidy and aesthetically pleasing.
