This is a very small Chalet ontop of a large hill overlooking Thun. The hill is hard to climb at first so you must be fit to go up and down it if you want to go into town or after a long day of trekking in the mountains. It can get very cold inside if it is a particularly bad nig…

Response from Marlin:
I asked Ben if he needs the guest card to use the bus. In my profile is also written which bus you take to get up here. He told me he already has a ticket so he does not need that card. So if he came back home after a long day he could easily used that bus and walk about 6 minutes over here. The door can be looked from the inside. The door look is next to the refrigerator. I found a bag of gummy bears and cookies pitted in the chalet. Ben usually left the windows open during the day. Animals like cookroachs love Food laying around. In the toilet and in the bathroom is a liquid soap dispenser provided. He probably looked for a regular soap which we don't use anymore in Switzerland.

The location of Marleen's home was amazing - I was super happy I chose Thun to stay over the more touristy Interlaken. From there a few minutes to the right is the city centre, 9km to the you will have the very best sunset view of the city.

Marlin and her family are simply lovely. Extremely friendly and hospitable, and Marlin had great recommendations for local places to hike and explore (Thun is a beautiful city, we found it much nicer than Interlaken, and the nearby hiking is simply amazing!). The chalet is small…

The house is situated in the hillside, which means you can have a good view. And Marlin is very nice and always provide any help that you want. If I have chance to come back again, the room will be my first choice.
