Beautiful house in the traditional residential area. Meyske is friendly and helpful host. Lots of local "tips", of which we used all!Would absolutely recommend! Really clear description, instructions and communication with the host. Was a great experience!

Meyske's place is a very unique accommodation. You will find the typical torajian barn style (and farm life) all over it. After staying here, you don't need to visit places like Ketsu Kesu anymore ;) In addition you will find in her a great guide with much knowledge about the area and it's surroundings. Her mother is a great chef too (+30K for dinner; breakfast is included though!). As others mentioned before, you will sleep in a built out barn on the second floor. There is at this moment no own rooftop or door for the rooms. But they have electricity and windows. And the living room and bathroom is beautifuly done. After all, don't miss this experience(URL HIDDEN)Wer aus seinen Hotel-Komplexen mal rauskommen möchte ist dies hier eine fantastische (und günstige) Alternative.

Our stay with Meyske and her family made our trip to Toraja unforgettable! They transformed the upstairs of their home into a cozy and comfortable area for guests and provided everything we needed, including hot water and towels. She was a knowledgeable and fun guide and we 100% recommend her. Plus, she has a dog that takes sneezing and coughing to a whole new level of cute.

Nice place in a local village just 10 minutes out of Rantepao, easily reached by public transport. The accommodation is basic. The host is very helpful. She gave us lots of information. Responses where fast, even when she was out of town. Nice diners are served for a small price. They can really cook! It was a special experience to be in a local village for a while.

This is a perfect place if you are looking for a peaceful and simple environment: a true Toraja experience. Meyske and her Family are very helpful, and her mother is a amazing cook! You can easily rent a motorbike or take public transport if you want to explore the city center. But we would recommand to go the other way and see the beautiful nature surrounding Tana Toraja! Thanks for everything Meyske + family

Meyskes Ne Pakku family house is the most authentic place we have ever been too. It is a really basic house but with everything you need. There are 4 bedrooms and one shared bathroom with a shower and western toilet. We had no problems sharing. If you are an open minded traveler you will have a fantastic time. We also were guided by Meyske for 4 days, which was just fabulous. She is an awesome guide with lots of background knowledge. Furthermore she is so helpful in every regard. We just felt like being a part of the family. On top she is a fantastic cooker. The meals are so delicious and she tries to cook different authentic meals every day. I can recommend this place to all travellers who want to experience the real life in tana Toraja and don't need luxury. We would go there again straight away. It was an once in a lifetime experience.

Looking for the real Toraja experience? Defenitly go to this homestay. We had an amazing time. The location is great. You can rent a scooter for 80.000 rupiah in rantepao en then go to the homestay. Meyske can guide you trough toraja, she tells so many stories with passion and brings you to place you can not get by yourself. Here family is amazing and the breakfast was delicious!
