Peaceful and private light-filled studio in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Belfast. Right on the "Passe" river. A mile and half to downtown Belfast--walk or bike over the footbridge. Close to town...but feels like you're in the country. Great departure point to Acadia National Park and "Downeast." Two-hour drive from Portland; Camden/Rockport 20-25 minutes away.
Available for longer term bookings, as well.
The studio is the base floor of my three-floor home (not a basement). The space accommodates 1-2 guests comfortably, but could work for up to 3 (such as two adults and a child). There is a full bathroom and separate entrance. Amenities include WiFi, a medium-sized refrigerator, a coffee-maker and electric tea kettle. Radiant floor heat--which is nice and toasty in the colder months, with the cement floor refreshingly cool in the summer. One parking space. Water views.
Interaction with guests
I work from home sometimes but am regularly out and about. I always can be reached by phone/text.
I'm happy to make recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing destinations and seasonal activities in the region. Please also see my "Guidebook" with this listing.
Other things to note
There is one cat on the premises--but she is often outdoors.
- Strictly no smoking--inside the space or on the premises.
- Quiet hours after 10:30pm
- Fine to leave light refuse/trash that is accumulated during your visit, but please do not leave additional bags of trash in the space.
I'm an educator, filmmaker, activist and mother to a 12-year old son. I'm from NY State originally, but have called Maine my home for 18 years.
I love to be outside hiking, biking, swimming, gardening and exploring. I'm also a huge movie buff!
