The studio is comfortably furnished with two beds, couch and chairs--and has a concrete floor, which provides radiant floor heat in the cooler months. The large window, originally from the Maine State House, provides lots of light and passive solar warmth.

Peaceful and private light-filled studio in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Belfast. Right on the "Passe" river. A mile and half to downtown Belfast--walk or bike over the footbridge. Close to town...but feels like you're in the country. Great departure point to Acadia National Park and "Downeast." Two-hour drive from Portland; Camden/Rockport 20-25 minutes away.

Available for longer term bookings, as well.

The space

The studio is the base floor of my three-floor home (not a basement). The space accommodates 1-2 guests comfortably, but could work for up to 3 (such as two adults and a child). There is a full bathroom and separate entrance. Amenities include WiFi, a medium-sized refrigerator, a coffee-maker and electric tea kettle. Radiant floor heat--which is nice and toasty in the colder months, with the cement floor refreshingly cool in the summer. One parking space. Water views.

Interaction with guests

I work from home sometimes but am regularly out and about. I always can be reached by phone/text.

I'm happy to make recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing destinations and seasonal activities in the region. Please also see my "Guidebook" with this listing.

Other things to note

There is one cat on the premises--but she is often outdoors.

This is a very private accommodation in a pretty, wooded area. Nicolle supplied us with us water, tea and coffee. She was very helpful, giving us ideas about scenic spots to visit in the area.

We have a great time in Belfast, ME and a great time in the space. It was warm and cozy and is in a quiet and beautiful spot. Close to Belfast, but also far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Nicolle was a great host and took care of our every need.

This place is fantastic---close to town but feels like you're in the middle of nowhere! Nicolle offered great suggestions for dinner! And by all means--take her advice and take the short morning walk to see the sunrise--you won't regret it! We would definitely stay here again!

Nicolle is an amazing host - she was really welcoming and she made us feel like we were at home! Everything was clean, the location is close to Acadia NP and also other state parks, which is great! Nicolle always suggested where should we go if we didn't know and recommended few great places to eat! I definitely recommend this place, me and my parents enjoyed it very much! :-)

I'm an educator, filmmaker, activist and mother to a 12-year old son. I'm from NY State originally, but have called Maine my home for 18 years.

I love to be outside hiking, biking, swimming, gardening and exploring. I'm also a huge movie buff!
